We ordered the large pizza and breadsticks special for $19.99 and asked the manager how big the salad was to see if one would be enough for both of us. He told us it would only feed one person, so we ordered two. Our bill came out to $40 — nearly $20 just for salads, which felt excessive.
The menu listed the salad as having lettuce, cheese, olives, and mushrooms. We specifically asked for no mushrooms. When the salads arrived, there were no mushrooms — but there were onions, which were not listed on the menu. We let the server know we didn’t want onions, and she politely said she would take care of it. The manager then came over and began arguing with us, insisting we hadn’t asked for no onions — even though onions weren’t listed as an ingredient in the first place.
The manager was very unprofessional and rude in how he handled the situation. Instead of simply correcting the mistake, he chose to argue with us. He eventually remade the salad, which ended up being large enough to feed two people — meaning we never needed to order two salads in the first place.
When we asked for extra ranch because the small amount provided wasn’t enough for both the pizza and salads, the manager said we would be charged for it. Being charged for extra condiments after everything else felt unreasonable.
The food itself was fine, but the customer service — especially from the manager — was disappointing. Unfortunately, the overall experience left a bad impression on what was supposed to be a nice Valentine’s dinner.
Not to go into too much detail but my stomach issues prevents me from eating any kind of pizza but this is the only place I can eat it without having a stomachache. The dough is lightweight and fluffy.
Also, I’m a firm believer that if you show respect, people will reciprocate and it’s sad that people here have complained about music, drinks, and such. Every place has their own issues but personally, I’m here for the food, the music, and to say hi to Roberto and Angel. They are awesome people.
I also love the punch cards and since I keep coming back, I’ve gotten free pizzas.
I’ll keep coming back and bring more friends! Small businesses like this one need our support.
Anyway, try the Gold Rush if you’d like to spice up things; it’s amazing!
Went to eat here during the afternoon. Noticed a sign outside that advertised pizza by the slice. I don’t think you can order whatever pizza by the slice, there is a little display with pizza inside. I think the pizza by the slice option only entails whatever is available. Got the last 2 pieces of pepperoni when I went in.
My receipt said the guy at the register was named Walter G. He was friendly and I had no problems. My receipt also said I was there at 3:26 PM. It may have been the time of day but no one else was in the restaurant. So there was zero wait.
2 slices of pepperoni and a water was $8.67. Very affordable. There was a lot of seating available, a mix of booths and tables. This was my first time eating here so I am not sure if it is ever packed but as I mentioned, no one was here when I came. Some of the booths were a little worn out but everything was reasonably clean and not excessively dirty.
Would eat here again.
You also read that it’s expensive and it is. But the portions are large so don’t over order.
We ordered items like cheese sticks to come out with our salads and then ordered our big pizza afterwards, but the big pizza beat the other food to the table, go figure
The place could use a good deep cleaning and many of the beverages in the soda dispenser were out of order. I think it won’t be long till this location may have to shut down. Employees could be more attentive to the customers. They weren’t very many people in the eating area, even though it was Friday and during dinner time. Made me feel bad, but I left full and not hungry. I’d have pizza from here again, but I’d probably just take out.
I called and said I wanted to order “the largest pizza” (I didn’t remember that it’s called “jumbo” when I placed the order but I do know I said “largest” pizza).
Roberto didn’t confirm my order on the phone until I asked, “okay so you got the largest pizza in these 2 flavors?”
He confirmed.
I got home and realized it’s the LARGE pizza, not the JUMBO, although I said “largest pizza” when I ordered on the phone.
I called the restaurant and Roberto was insistent that I ordered large. I know for sure I said largest because I know that for me with a BOGO free coupon, it’s only a couple dollars more total and I get the extra amount on both pizzas.
Also, I ordered the 49’er (double pepperoni) but only on 1/2 the pizza, and 1/2 just cheese. There wasn’t a lot of pepperoni.
Luckily I had BOGO free but still so bummed. I could’ve gotten 2 jumbo pizzas for only about $2 more, and I know I for sure said LARGEST.
I wish Roberto would’ve said it over the phone but I did confirm with it and said “largest” and there was a miscommunication/misunderstanding.
I wouldn’t come without a BOGO free coupon. Very very pricey!!
Manager, please respond so I can communicate with you, thank you!
