This was a great little counter order restaurant in Templeton. We stopped by, on vacation, and were impressed with the fish and chips… The amount of fries you get with one order of fish and chips was very generous, and they do a mix of sweet potatoes and regular potatoes. The fries were very crispy.

I had high hopes for the food but our food was mediocre! I had the snapper sandwich and it was soaked with tarter sauce or mayonnaise and could not pick up the sandwich and ate the fish with a fork. My husband ordered ahi steak and it was overcooked even though we had asked for rare! The fries are amazingly delicious!

What a great place for seafood lovers. Fish is fresh and cooked perfectly. We had the Calamari Sandwich and the fish tacos. The sandwich was perfect and made me want to come back for another one. Tacos were large with generous portions of fish. We had one fried and one grilled. Both excellent. Counter service is casual and friendly. Outdoor seating. Highly recommend a stop here.

We got a tip from Bay Area friend about the fish tacos here. We stopped and had one grilled fish taco each (they’re big). I’ve had a lot of fish tacos in my life and this was the best! Something about the sauce and fresh ingredients-perfect! Busy place with small shady deck. Parking is tight (it’s by a Trader Joe’s), so try to hit off peak hours. Really great stop on a road trip, highly recommend.

Shrimp nachos are amazing, and very large. Fish and chips are very good but they give you almost no tartar sauce. The shellfish that they serve tastes like mud but their fish is always of good quality; take care though, they don’t remove pinbones.

The atmosphere is so welcoming, the food is delicious. I prefer the snapper sandwich, & I’ve been told the snapper is fresh from Morro Bay so that’s a plus. This restaurant is top notch. Kid friendly, & the fries are even delicious. If you’re looking for quality sea food of the Central coast, Pier 46 is a must. Highly recommend.

If you’re searching for a nice combination of seafood market and restaurant in the Paso Robles Wine Country, Pier 46 Seafood is worthy of your consideration. Although some of their seafood may be imported, clearly some of it is also locally sourced.

First time here and wanted to try a seafood place after our little outing at Three Bridges Trail. We enjoyed the clam Chowder in the toast d bread bowl, fish and chips, a glass of beer for the hubby and a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon for myself. We both enjoyed the food because it was cooked well and was still hot when we received it. We would come back.
