Pier 215 is more than just a “sushi sake bar”; it is a dynamic culinary destination that successfully marries the artistry of traditional Japanese cuisine with bold, fresh flavors from around the world.
Spearheaded by an experienced chef with a pedigree in high-end Las Vegas dining, this restaurant delivers an elevated experience that focuses intensely on ingredient quality and creative execution.
The first thing you notice upon entering is the refined, modern ambiance. It strikes a balance between sleek metropolitan dining and comfortable warmth, making it ideal for everything from a casual happy hour to a special occasion dinner.
While the sushi and sashimi are—fresh, meticulously sliced, and beautifully presented—the true magic of Pier 215 lies in its unique fusion plates.
Highlights include the creamy and addictive Spicy Rock Shrimp and the surprisingly delightful influence of Italian cuisine, seen in dishes like the Cajun Shrimp Penne Vodka Sauce (a popular off-menu item) or even a unique take on a Caprese Salad.
For those craving raw fish, the specialty rolls, such as the bold Yellowtail Serrano Roll or the indulgent Black Tiger Roll, offer an exciting mix of texture and heat. For a truly premium experience, the non-sushi entrees, like the Baked King Crab Leg or the Korean Beef Short Ribs, showcase the kitchen’s mastery over savory, rich flavors.
Pier 215 is a destination for the diner who appreciates traditional Japanese technique but is eager for culinary innovation. It’s a guaranteed fresh catch that stands out in the crowded Las Vegas dining scene.
The thing that sets this place apart from other sushi spots is the fact that they have a Kaiseki option as well as a sake sampler. If you want to try something different, I highly suggest either of these options. Kaiseki is pretty much an assorted variety of Japanese dishes from vegetables to sushi.
Ambiance is pretty nice as I’ve only went there when it’s night time. Fairly dimly lit so it brings a romantic vibe if you want to bring a date here. They can accommodate a good amount of people, but a large group may be limited depending on how busy they are.
Whenever I’ve been here, the service has been pretty decent since it wasn’t too busy. The service was pretty standard as they would check up on us every so often.
Overall, this place has good quality Japanese food while specializing in sushi/sashimi and has great options when it comes to drinks as well.
We enjoyed some appetizers, rolls, sashimi and drinks.
The location is perfect and it’s going to be much busier once Durango Station opens up (across the street)
