my beloved Wife and I … accompanied by our darling Daughter and her delightful gentleman friend engaged in an amazing experience at Naptowns … trendy … downtown… cosmopolitan hot spot Piedra!

Upon arrival we were promptly greeted … reservations confirmed and immediately seated at our requested booth. The ambiance was spectacular! Our gracious server was informative … knowledgeable and exuded professionalism that exceeded all expectations. Our Seafood appetizer was delicious … Cocktails and dinner were not a disappointment.

It was a cherished evening that we all will never forget and look forward to returning soon!

Piedra had me the moment I saw their name bolded in gold font above the modern glass doors framed in muted red. The aesthetic alone was chic and inviting. Walking inside only elevated the experience; modern furniture, warm lighting, and beautifully set tables created the feeling that every guest was anticipated.

The food and customer service were just as impressive. From the red sangria, made with bourbon and red wine, to the complimentary in-house salsa bean dip with homemade tostada chips, everything started strong. Dining with friends, we ordered a variety to share so we could experience multiple dishes. The Molcajete, lamb chops, salmon zarandeado, pescado frito, queso dip, Piedra guacamole, and even the fried ice cream were devoured with excitement. Many of the flavors burst in a way that felt layered and intentional, the kind that makes you pause mid-bite.

A helpful note about the lamb chops: the chef recommends ordering them medium. My husband ordered medium well, and now we understand why the recommendation matters. The dish is served on a sizzling hot plate that continues the cooking process, which resulted in his lamb chops coming out closer to well done. If you prefer medium well, it’s best to stick with the chef’s recommendation to account for that continued cooking.

The only reason I didn’t give five stars was due to a couple of inconsistencies. The red snapper tasted slightly fishy, and the white meat chicken in the Molcajete was tough and dry, making it difficult to chew. Everything else, however, was excellent.

Overall, Piedra delivers a beautiful atmosphere, attentive service, and bold flavors that make it a memorable dining experience. I would absolutely return and recommend it to others.

This was our first time dining here, and we chose it for a very special occasion. Rosaura, our waitress, was warm, kind, and attentive. When we included her in a few of our conversations, she was funny, genuine, and made the experience even more enjoyable. The owner also checked on us several times, which added a thoughtful personal touch. For the most part, the food was good. I would recommend trying some of their more popular dishes. It was a wonderful experience overall, and we’re so glad we celebrated here.

My wife and I had a great date night out. Food was brought out quick and everything tasted great. My only complaint was the music seemed very loud inside. I noticed a family with teenagers behind us even having trouble hearing their waitress. Hopefully this is something that can be adjusted. Unfortunately when we ordered the churros, the ice cream was completely melted as well.

We were in the neighborhood and decided to try out this place on a weekend evening. It was surprisingly very busy and fully booked, however, they were able to get us a table without any prior reservation. Our server YESSICA went above and beyond. She was excellent at explaining the restaurant and its specialties, and she also suggested some great dishes and drinks. She made sure we got what we came for. Overall, the drinks were decent, nicely prepared, and well mixed. However, the food was excellent, freshly prepared, and well presented. The ambiance of the place is somewhat vibrant and very Instagram-worthy. When you go, ask for Yessica for a great experience, she was fantastic even though it was a busy evening for her. Overall, it is a cool place with good food and service.

Hugo was the best server! He was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed at all times. It was super busy and he had a huge party he was taking care of, yet as soon as I took my last drink of water he was there filling it.

The ceviche and pazole were incredibly flavorful. The steak tasted really good but it was not seared like we prefer.

Can’t wait to go back

The esthetics are gorgeous! I had the lamb chops and a couple of drinks. My favorite drink was the verde barrel margarita. Blake was our server and he was phenomenal… super friendly, easy to talk to, patient, kind and overall just great. He also made good recommendations for drinks. Thank you, Blake!

From the moment you walk in, this place gives off a modern, upscale vibe ,the chandeliers, statues, and bookcases in the background create such a stunning atmosphere. The second-floor table is perfect for a big party or celebration, offering a great view of the space below. I loved the overall décor; it truly doesn’t feel like you’re dining in Indiana!

The noise level was moderate, making it easy to have a conversation and enjoy your evening. The drinks and food were phenomenal ,we tried two appetizers and each had an entrée, and everything was cooked to perfection. From start to finish, it was an incredible experience, and I’ll definitely be coming back. ✨

Overall we really enjoyed our meal at Piedra! The cocktails were excellent and our server, Kay, was very nice and attentive. Since they’re a new restaurant I’d offer a few small critiques.

We ordered the oysters Rockefeller and 2 of our 6 oysters had some grit in them which is unpleasant, but the ones that didn’t were delicious. The way they prepare them and the accompaniments were great.

We also ordered carpaccio which was good but just too salty. The pickled elements, balsamic, and vinaigrette combined were too much salt, but the flavors were there and we ate all of it.

We ordered two different types of tacos for our main courses and they were both good, especially the ribeye tacos.

I don’t want to sound too harsh because nothing was BAD but there is a little room for improvement, especially when the meal cost as much as it did. We would definitely come back to eat again!

The ambiance is beautiful.Soon as I walked in I was not in Indy anymore. Perfect crowd and you can still hear your partner talking. The staff was great set at the bar armondo was our waiter he was nothing but wonderful. All staff very attentive. The food was amazing nothing was disappointing. Never had guacamole this good before taste like they was growing it in the back.
