If you are a fan of weird, obnoxiously drunk crowds coming straight from Shade’s next door, this is the pizza joint for you! The people watching here is absurd it was like witnessing the Star Wars cantina in real life.

As for the pizza, that’s the only redeemable quality about this unclean restaurant. Pepperoni- 7.5 Roasted Red Pepper- 8.2 Ham Special – 6.8 . It’s reheated in the oven, but overall a decent slice.

What a bizarre experience. I genuinely could not believe the behavior of these customers I witnessed at this place. I have decided I’m not moving to Salt Lake after today.

I preordered my pizzas and they come on time but we ordered one cheese and one combination and we got two cheese and they both looked horrible. My wife was so mad she went to the restaurant and complained and they didn’t do anything to remedy the bad pizza and wrong order. They said I was only charged for the two cheese and not for the combination but I looked at my checking account and sure enough they charged me for a combination. I have ordered from here before and there wasn’t a problem. What truly bothers me is they had such a bad attitude towards my wife and basically said it to damn bad.

As a Real Estate Agent traveling back and forth between Salt Lake City and Las Vegas, I always make time to stop at The Pie Hole Pizzeria in downtown Salt Lake. It’s one of those local spots that never disappoints, great atmosphere, quick service, and consistently delicious pizza. I highly recommend the potato and bacon on Alfredo sauce pizza, it’s absolutely incredible and full of flavor. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, this place is a must-stop for a quality slice.

Our dinner plans went haywire and we ended up at Pie Hole. I think we arrived during a rush because the selection was a bit sparse but we opted for the potato bacon and pepperoni. The crust was thin, reminiscent of NY style pizza–over all pretty good. The cheese tasted like good quality, sauce was tasty and big slices of pepperoni as well. We’re from the tri-state area so we’re fussy about pizza but I would totally eat here again. $4 a slice is a bit steep imo but again…we enjoyed it. We took the pizza to go so my pic is prob not the best representation–don’t be put off by that though, give this place a shot.

Dave Portnoy doesn’t know what he’s talking about! This place is delicious! Maybe it’s because he only got a cheese pizza… I got a pepperoni & BBQ chicken and they were both AMAZING! My husband got potato bacon and he loved flavor combo. Dough was excellent, it was cooked perfectly, no complaints!

Torn about this rating. Pizzas are fun and interesting. One of the staff members was super friendly and chatty and one guy was not. In fact, he was just the opposite. So, go for the pizza and not how you’re going to be treated.

New York-style thin crust with a good undercarriage and nice crust, large slice, which is nice, decent flavor but still felt the need to add parmesan and red peppers rather than rely on the normal flavor alone. This pizza does not travel well; toppings slide off in the box or the pizza scrunches up against the side so beware. But when considering competitors in Salt Lake, this is one of the better options, so worth considering.

Very generous in size.
Lots of fun variants in flavors.

Great, crisp thin crust pizza. Offer standard, “gourmet”, vegetarian, and vegan options by the slice. Feels like a DIY punk operation; casual, friendly, and inclusive!
