Let’s start with the service. I had to give it- Just an okay. And it’s not that it was bad service. It was just very professional straight to the bone service. It was lunch time and they were busy. And I saw them all running around back and forth so the service was prompt and definitely point. That said, an occasional smile goes a long way. So this friend and I got almost the same meal. Mine was the lunch special with half a sandwich and a cup of soup and my friend got a full sandwich and a bowl of soup, not on the special. And we each got a drink. Nothing major on the drink station. Soda choices (this is a coke house) and tea. That poblano soup is a major must. Trust me. It has a little bite but man, bite me! My friend got the tortilla soup and joked about the small mountain of tortilla strips “wow, is there soup in here?” Then when they found it they said it was great! It looked great. There was actually chicken in the soup. I know that’s normal and expected but as you know it’s not always the case at some places lol. As you can tell from the pics they have “fresh” locked down.

Ordered the Southwest Chicken Sandwich with potato chips and ice Tea.

Made of Grilled chicken breast, pepper jack cheese, caramelized onion, roasted poblano peppers, tomato and chipotle aioli. Very tasty and hot off the grill when it arrived

The atmosphere is pretty chill, music in the background, just loud enough to enjoy the music.

Nice place for a relaxing get together or for someone looking for a place to study or read a book while eating a meal.

I have a feeling their burgers are tasty, what I saw coming out of the kitchen looked good!

Only let down is that they close at 3 and closed on Sundays!

Southwest chicken sandwich! Poblano soup! Salads! Everything so delicious and flavorful. Southwest chicken sandwich is unlike anything I’ve had before and I enjoy it so much. Homemade potatoe chips are mmmmhhhh. It’s a bit pricey, but the ingredients are quality and I always leave happy!

Great place to eat. Usually hard to get seating during lunch but it seems that the first winter storm for South Texas kept many people at home. The poblano soup is really good here and there are many kinds of soups, salads, and grill items. Something for everyone.

Ordered a cheeseburger with bacon and a over easy egg. Turned out to be one of the best burger I’ve ever had. Would definitely recommend it. The fries were hot and seasoned with salt just right.. top it off with a Mexican coke and it’s a 10/10. Will be back soon…

I truly enjoy dining here. The atmosphere has been very inviting. The food has been fresh and enjoyable every time. The service has been pleasant and patient each visit. I am big on customer service and cleanliness and will stop attending an establishment for poor quality in those areas along with continued inconsistency in food quality.

Picnikins has met a quality standard in these 3 areas for me each time. From take-out orders to dine-in lunch meetings, I and my friends give them and a big thank you!!

I was not expecting to have many vegan options but was happily surprised to be able to order tortilla soup. They add the chicken at the end so you can get it without. It was super hearty and good. The veggie sandwich on gluten free bread was not bad. It would be great if they added some hummus or other vegan options to make the sandwich a little less dry. Loved the sprouts and veggies in the sandwich though. Will definitely go back. My niece loved her poblano soup and sandwich.

The sandwiches were delicious. I love the dog friendly patio. The homemade potato chips were so tasty! I gave my dog a few chips. He approved! Service was quick, and the employees were super friendly. The menu has a nice variety of options. I’ll definitely eat here again in the future.
