A little Italian place that was completely off the radar. Stopped in for an early dinner and left completely stuffed. When I say that this is authentic Italian cuisine, it is all that. Everything is made in house. Every sauce, meatball and dressing. We will definitely be back. I want to try everything on their menu. Next time will be the Sicilian deep dish.

I had a couple slices of pizza. The pizza’s not bad, it’s just not great. It seems like the dough was way overworked. The staff was a little chatty (focused more on communicating with each other rather than with me) and were occupying seats at the counter. It’s very basic and the dining area. Nothing was obviously dirty. It just didn’t seem like it was clean.

This was quite an…. Experience. The food was good and my son really enjoyed the thin cheese pizza. All of the food came out separately and I didn’t get the bread with my pasta until I was almost done. I love small mom and pop shops but the cleanliness of this place was really concerning. It smelled of sewer or gas and the smell was so overpowering it was hard to enjoy the food. It was a place I wanted to get out of as soon as possible. Getting the food to go would’ve been more enjoyable.

My son and I usually just get a slice of pizza at the mall from here. We are actually going to go here today for lunch for the first time. We are plain Jane’s. We just get thin crust cheese pizza (my son only likes cheese on his pizza). But, let me tell you, my son doesn’t just eat pizza from anywhere. He is VERY picky. So with that being said, it is a good sign that he LOVES this pizza. He eats the crust and all and says how good it is. I haven’t tried anything else from here, but the pizza is definitely delicious. It has a unique flavor compared to other pizza places and I like how big the slices are. I could eat one, maybe 2 slices, and I’m full. Whenever we order at the mall everyone is very friendly.
We went in there for lunch, and I can agree with the other review saying that it smelled like gas inside. It hit me as soon as I walked in. Perhaps they can’t smell it though or are used to it. Regardless, they’re really nice people that make good pizza.

Not bad or excellent. Got a sausage slice and sausage was falling off like a taco. Pizza looked nothing like the pictures (wish I can post pics) I was definitely catfished. Drive thru was decently fast though, reminds me of an older 1920’s movie, nostalgic kinda.

My husband and I were looking for a different eatery and google directed us to Picnic Pizza Italian Eatery. We were uncertain what we were getting into, but WOW! A huge diamond in the rough! The chef salad was FRESH and very good. The thin pizza was AMAZING!! The crust was awesome and allowed all the flavors of the Italian sausage, pepperoni and mushrooms to come through with the deliciously melted cheese! Our waitress was nice and prompt and made good suggestions. I’m sorry I don’t recall her name. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who is from Italy, who was very gracious. It just sealed the deal that this place is the BEST PLACE TO GO FOR ITALIAN CUISINE!! We will continue to make the drive from Canal Winchester to Zanesville for food (especially pizza) gladly!! -The Brewer’s

We were looking for pizza in Zanesville, OH yesterday and we found the best! The pizza was delicious and the pasta the kids got was truly homemade goodness. Our waitress was very nice & helpful since it was our first time eating there. I would definitely recommend it & if we are ever in that area again, we will definitely go back!
