I recently had the pleasure of dining at Pickels, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The moment I walked in, I was welcomed with warm hospitality and a cozy ambiance that set the perfect tone for a great meal.
The menu offers an incredible variety of Indian dishes, each packed with rich, authentic flavors. I tried the butter chicken, which was perfectly creamy with just the right balance of spice, and the lamb Rogan Josh, which was melt-in-your-mouth tender. The freshly baked garlic naan was the perfect companion to soak up the delicious sauces.
Beyond the food, the service was top-notch—attentive, friendly, and efficient. The staff took the time to explain the dishes and even recommended pairings that enhanced the experience.
Whether you’re a fan of Indian cuisine or trying it for the first time, Pickels is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back to explore more of their menu!

My first experience from Pickles tonight. Friendly and polite staff on the phone followed up by I think the best Indian meal I’ve ever had, which arrived 10 minutes early. It arrived steaming hot, and fresh, and was full of flavour. I ate way more than I should of done. Top notch and five stars from me!

Lovely tasty food with excellent choice. Staff were brilliant and restaurant is very nicely presented. Don’t serve alcohol but you can bring your own. Will be back.

Great takeaway choice. In 6 years of ordering takeaways they’ve only got the order wrong once but were really quick to rectify it and get the right order sent out, remaining cheerful and apologetic. Mistakes happen but it’s how a place fixes that mistake, and these guys are top notch! We’ve eaten at the restaurant several times too and all the staff are so friendly, helpful, accommodating and the food is fabulous. They’ll take custom orders and are all a good laugh too. Booked last minute on a Saturday night with no issues. It was very busy when we arrived and it did take some time to take our order and bring the food, but it was busy and the staff were constantly on the move bringing food out and clearing away, so I’m not marking them down for this. We didn’t mind waiting as it was a good atmosphere there. The food I have to say was worth the wait, it was absolutely delicious. The best I’ve had at an Indian restaurant in a long time. This place was quite the contrast to the one across the road we visited two weeks prior.
They don’t serve alcohol there but you can take your own. This wasn’t mentioned at the time of booking (online) or on the confirmation, but it didn’t bother us, just handy for those who plan to have a drink with their meal to know beforehand.
All the staff were very pleasant and helpful, would definitely return.
