This restaurant is a find because unlike most it is slightly off the beaten track with a quiet, friendly ambiance. Excellent quality menu options with daily specials, a £10 lunch menu, £22 3-course dinner menu, and the usual full-priced a la carte. We tried them all. Pleasant background music easily enjoyed or ignored. We ate here every day for brunch, lunch and dinner.

It’s probably the cheapest place in town.

£22 for a 3-course meal.

I just found the portions a little small for the price, especially considering tax isn’t included!

The food was good, and so was the service. It wasn’t very busy that day, so it was nice to enjoy the good music, which is usually too loud in this kind of place, but not at all that day.

Thank you for this moment.

One of our favourite places to eat in St. Peter Port. Their set menu offers fantastic value for money and the quality of the food is excellent. Service is lovely too. The only fault is that soft drinks were a little pricy compared to other places!

Lovely place to eat. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. We had dinner there three nights in a row because the food was excellent. When I return to Guernsey I know where I’ll be eating. If you are visiting the island and looking for fabulous food which is very reasonably priced then The Pickled Pig is the right choice

We dined here three times and were impressed with the variety and quality of the food. As we were staying in the Duke of Normandie hotel, it was also very convenient. I would recommend booking a table and asking to eat in the lounge area which is quieter. You can also eat at tables in the bar area if you prefer a more lively atmosphere.

The Food was ok here, same with the atmosphere. I liked the service, the staff were great. They must work on the ambience and add more options in the menu.

Great find. Food well cooked and presented. Portions very generous and the service could not have been better. Will definitely be back.
Highly recommend.

Having heard and read about this place we were looking forward to our visit, we were very disappointed and won’t be back.

Ok, we arrived 10 minutes after food had stopped being served, so it’s fair we couldn’t have any. However the ride way we were told didn’t leave us feeling good.

Normally with such a response we would immediately leave, but it was raining and the building is nice. We decided to stop for a drink.

That’s when our lovely barman/waiter gave us the second statement of charm. No, we couldn’t sit at any of the tables as he had just set them for this evening (it was now just after 2).

So, lovely bar and rubbish experience. Will not return.

The food was absolutely delicious. My boyfriend arrived here in June and he said this was the best meal he’s had since he arrived. Wholly recommend.

A lovely traditional and cosy pub with an extensive food menu and drink options. Staff are all friendly and there’s a good relaxing atmosphere. Somewhere I’d happily return to, either on my own or for a more special occasion.
