Nice spot overall. The food was okay—nothing really stood out—but the wings were great and definitely the highlight of the meal. The place itself was comfortable and a good spot to grab a bite, and our waitress was super nice and attentive, which made the experience better. Nothing that totally blew me away, but a solid place I’d come back to, especially for the wings.

Hadn’t been here in a while, was in the area and decided to stop in for a quick bite. The food was decent but the chicken tenders that I looked forward to had shrank in size. Even looking back on reviews from a year ago it seems they have cut the tenders in half and increased the price.

I will change my review if we go there again and it’s a better day. It’s bar food and it was not hot or fresh on our visit. Our waitress didn’t want to be there. We should have just gone to a fast food place.

I first experienced Pickle Barrel when I visited my wife while she was on assignment over in Milledgeville. The food and service were AMAZING!! I forget the name of the waiter, but he did a damn good job taking care of us. I always order the boneless wings (lemon pepper) and two pieces of grilled fish seasoned with jerk and citrus. Oh, don’t forget the islander sauce!! I’m looking forward to hitting the road visiting you guys again since I’m not from the area!!

Great find! It’s a little local chain, but it was our first time going to one. We were in town for a concert and decided to eat after. Not much open so we stopped here and I’m so glad we did. The service was excellent and the food was even better. Mozzarella sticks, homemade kettle chips, burgers, fries, chicken tenders, etc were all shared by the group and everyone enjoyed everything. If we are in Milledgeville or any of the other locations with a Pickle Barrel again, we will be sure to stop by!

I came into Milledgeville on Sunday for a business trip. When I asked around for a good place to eat, the consensus was unanimous from the hotel to the gas station. Everyone sent me to the pickle barrel, and I must say it did not disappoint. It was a real chill atmosphere. I got in around 7p. There weren’t too many people there. I was seated right away. We sat outside. The waitress was super nice and very informative and accommodating. I feel bad I forgot her name but she was a nice little black woman. My dining partner had a Paloma, that was made perfectly by the bar tender. I had the lemonade which was good. Our appetizers were fried pickle and firecracker shrimp. They were both delicious. For dinner we had the Wicked Burger and Seafood basket. All the food was delicious. The service was great. The atmosphere was stimulating. I will definitely return.

I was looking forward to trying this place for the first time. Wait in early afternoon on a Saturday was 15 minutes to get a table. No problem. College football right. Ordered fried okra appetizer. Order burgers. The appetizer took 45 minutes to come. Then burgers were like 5 minutes later. Food was good. Server was great. Timing in the kitchen was obviously an issue. I don’t know if I will give them another shot in the future.
I would give the server 5 stars and the rest of the restaurant 1 or 2 and the food 4 or 5 if you could split the stars.

The food and service was ok. It wasn’t great. Its a place you want to try one time. The battered French fries weren’t very good and they were greasy. I wish I had gotten the naked fries. The Ruben was decent. We also had the sliders. They weren’t anything special. It would be nice if they would let you mix and match what sliders you can order instead of all of them being the same.

A good place for good food.
This restaurant is located N Columbia Drive or Bus 441, on the west side of the road. It is a stand-alone building in front of a strip center. There is plenty of parking since it is sitting in a parking lot shared with Petsmart. You enter and are greeted by a hostess who seats you. There is a bar to the left and regular restaurant seating to the right. The seating is a mix of tables and booths. The waitress came to get our drink order quickly. The tables were bussed and cleaned quickly while we were waiting. The walls are covered with Georgia Bulldog pictures and items. The menu is lots of American fare items such as appetizers, salads, wings, bowls, burgers, and chicken. The waitress came by quickly and took our order. Our order was a burger and beans and Reuben and coleslaw. The food came out relatively quickly even with the restaurant being busy. The sandwich, burger, beans, and drinks were excellent. I did not really care for the coleslaw. The sandwiches with 1 side were ~$11 and the drinks were $2.5. The total bill was ~$30. The staff was pleasant and the meal was nice. I would recommend this for hungry fellow travelers in the area. Enjoy.

Our first time here. They have a nice patio that includes a comfortable waiting area for folks waiting on a table. The inside bar and dining room areas are very nice and well kept up. Fun decor. Very friendly mask-wearing staff. We were checked in on by a couple of people along with our fantastic server, Kathryn. We ordered a Chef salad, a fried okra appetizer and a chicken tenders basket. The tenders were tossed in honey hot wing sauce, but you have many flavor choices. Chef salad: Huge, fresh salad (see photo) The best Chef salad we’ve ever seen. Fried okra appetizer: a huge portion, perfectly breaded and fried, comes with ranch dressing on the side. Chicken tender basket: Very generous portion of delicious chicken tenders (see photo) that comes with 2 sides. I got cole slaw (vinegar style) which tasted freshly made and French fries, which turned out to be battered in a Tempura-like batter which honestly I do not care for, but clearly it has its fans since they seem to be the house French fries. We will definitely be back next time we are in Milledgeville.
