I used to go to pick up stix in vista, but the restaurant shut down years ago. Now trying this one in Escondido. I’m disappointed fry rice overcooked and sticky plus bean sprouts were all dehydrated. Seen like rice was on the steamer since early morning. Kung pao chicken very salty.

We ordered the family pack 3 entrees for $45 and this is what we got. Take note today is Mother’s Day 2024. We received half the size of the portioned plates and it seems like they are single order portions. We ordered more dishes aside from this but it was just very disappointing. We paid $90 for the foods we got that would feed only 2 people but we ordered the family pack that it says was good for 4-5 people. I would not recommend pick up stix and please go to a place who would give fair amount of food for the price you pay. Specially for a special occasion please don’t get or order from them. All of you will be disappointed a hundred percent. My Mother’s Day celebration has been sad unfortunately because of the food that we chose to get and was not fair to give us the rights amount for the price we paid. Not all of was able to eat and I had to cook extra for the rest of my guest.

Service here is awesome. Well staffed and friendly. It was everything we’ve come to expect from Pick Up Stix, but I have been disappointed by other locations that, for some reason have really understaffed their locations. There was also plenty of parking. Super clean and smelled really good, too. 🙂 This is a great location and I just can’t say enough about the staff.

Going downhill. Cashew chicken dish was grayish looking and nearly all onions, only a few bites of anything else. Chicken was dry, sauce – flavorless. Bummer because I used to really like Pick Up Stix, used to be fresh and vibrant and tasty. But each time I’ve had it recently the food has been very disappointing. Especially for the price – might as well just order from a real Chinese place.

I had the firecracker chicken. The meal itself was very disappointing. It was all breading with a string of chicken. I defiantly didn’t get what I paid for. If maybe there was 3 tiny pieces of chicken in the mix. It was drenched with sauce. I don’t know what happened to this place it used to be good with good quality chicken. Now this place definitely has gone down. I will not be coming here again.
