Hadn’t eaten here in a few years, but I am pregnant and the chow mein sounded really good. They were understaffed, but all of the employees we dealt with were pleasant and doing their best. They communicated there would be a slight delay which was fine. The restaurant was clean and tidy.
Unfortunately- the food was very disappointing. We got 3 dishes and it was around $42 and much of it was inedible and tasted strongly of plastic and chemicals (of course the honey shrimp with chow mein) was completely drenched in the chemical substance. To describe the flavor would be if you were to attempt to eat noodles that had been cooked and melted in a plastic container and then topped with a sludge soupy cleaning solution so much that it was dripping out of the edges of the bowl completely masking any other flavor or texture.
We ordered a salad and the mandarin oranges were sour and very fermented so we picked those out and it was somewhat edible after that.
Overall I am sad to have lost $42 worth of food that most of which ended up in the trash.

Nope. I ordered several dishes tonight. I moved out of state 2 years ago and this was one of just a few places I needed to eat at. So disappointed. House special Chicken was garbage. Asked for extra sauce and caramelized sauce. Didn’t happen. Got large chunks of rubbery chicken and rice. What? Where’s my container of just chicken? You gave me a scoop of sub par chicken and a bunch of rice. Somehow the spring rolls were over cooked on one side and way under on the other.

Probably a 3.5 to be fair. We ordered online, and our food was ready as expected. The sweet and sour chicken was good, as was the fried rice and chow mein noodles. Disappointed in the beef and broccoli. The meat was tough. Egg rolls were also good. Portion sizes were okay. Cost nearly $30 for a takeout dinner for two. Big TV with college hoops on, and a nice but small outdoor seating area. We’d go back, but we’d pass on the beef and broccoli.

Food wasn’t good atall. Their house teriyaki chicken had too much soya sauce oil and over cooked. Maybe it’s just the cook. Usually I always like pick up Stix wherever I eat.

I usually come in and order one of those a la carte boxes which are about 13 bucks. Sometimes I get two if my girlfriend and I can’t decide on the same thing. Regardless to put one cookie in the bag, shame on you. That means one of us doesn’t get a cookie after dinner, I wonder who that’s going to be? My girlfriend or myself? Well I think we all know who gets the cookie and who doesn’t! Same on you guys for being so tight.

Stay far away from this place, the manager is rude and ignorant and lacks any kind of customer service. I ordered Fire Cracker Tofu because we are strict vegetarians and when we got home it was chicken. I called the store and told the manager about the mistake, he kept insisting that I ordered chicken when I didn’t, he continued to argue with me and insisted I bring it back. I told him I lived on the other side of Carlsbad so I asked him if he could give me a refund, he insisted I bring it back and then he would, I said I can’t because I’m handicapped. Now this he didn’t care about, he just wanted me back in the store to return the food so he could give it to someone else. He said, “well I can check the cameras.” I said go ahead and check them, he said, “I can’t now but I will tomorrow.”
I asked to speak to the manager, he said “I am the manager.” Wow I can’t believe a business would treat a customer this way for $23!!!
I asked his name and he hung up on me!
Tomorrow I am calling the corporate office and report him.
It’s very sad because I really like their Fire Cracker Tofu, you couldn’t pay me to do any kind of business with this guy.
The company needs to give customer service training.

Our grub hub order sat there for 20 extra minutes because I was told there wasn’t a pickup time! BS…. Maybe cause there was no tip, don’t know food was sub par, too much sauce, good way to cheat us. We were also cheated on the lo mein, its noodles, crappy noodles…. This was the most expensive family pack. I’m sure regular meals are just fine!
