I used to come into this place all the time with friends for a nice little area to hangout and enjoy some simple pizza, ever since the new owners came they have messed up everything, I’m not usually a person to get upset with people in food service because I too have worked in a place like that myself but I ordered a large pepperoni expecting it to be done when I got there, then when I got there and the guy tells me that he burned it then when I ask for a whole pie as compensation for burning it, he agrees, then as soon as my dad walks away, he puts back 3/8 slices of the pizza, then when I confront him about it he gets all rude and talks down to me like I’m a damn kid, so then I just decided that it’s okay, but I’m definitely not coming here any time soon, and as a plus the cashier when handing back the money, he caressed my hand creepily and as a young teenager, I didn’t feel comfortable whatsoever and I never get uncomfortable, but the cashier gave off a creepy vibe this place has become what was once a nice place to hangout into a disappointment, How Sad.

TLDR: new owners suck, they burned my pizza, didn’t give full compensation back, and the cashier might need his hard drive checked

There is only one reason I go there and that is to buy pizza dough. They have very good quality dough for $2.50 a ball (12 – 14 inch pie). They don’t really advertise it but just ask the pizza dude and he will take care of you.

The new owners are literally taking a great neighborhood place and turning it
Into a ghost town. It’s typical of this type of new ownership. They have no sense of community or relationships with regular customers. They literally ruin every party store they touch

Bought pepperoni roll, sausage roll, asked for 3 spinach rolls because they didn’t have any and the look he gave me was scary. I was obviously bothering him. I know better than to go in at 5 pm lol. Now, on the other hand, the rolls were delicious!!

I used to love the pizza because the slices were real New York pizza size, where you had to fold the slice in half. Just like home(NYC). Now you get a medium sized pizza instead. Not only did the size change, but they stopped the special. I called in to complain because I ordered half pep half x-cheese and only got 2 slices of x-cheese and 6 mini pep slices. The woman was rude, didn’t let me finish a single sentence and pretty much showed no concern or sense of customer service. I won’t go back. Hopefully the other Pik N Run still serves a real large pie and has better customer service. I’ve never complained or given a bad review before, but this was just too much not to share.
4/17/2023: service is a little better but you gotta hope they’re serving, no regular hours. Large pie sometimes medium when you order, be careful.

The pizza is as good, if not better than your average ny pizza. The pasta is fresh, and excellent. The flavor is better then olive garden. The owner Royce, is a stand up guy, who makes the experience of eating from a gas station feel like eating at a restaurant. He deserves his own restaurant.

Apparently the name changed to Daybreak. I ordered a large pepperoni and although it was done on time, it was dry and hard as though it was sitting for a while. The pepperoni was cooked but it appears that it was added to an old pizza. It tasted terrible and was tossed out. The price increased from $9-$12 and I do not recommend this place to anyone. Eat at your own risk.
