Usually this place is good, but I am finding that if you order when their main cook is not there you will not have a good experience.

I’ve been getting the Bibimbap here for about 10 years. To be plain, he past 3 times i’ve gotten it, it’s just unacceptable. Everything is overcooked and mushy. The vegetables have zero crunch and the spicy chicken is dry. It used to come out as a light, fresh rice bowl with crispy vegetables and great flavor, but now it is just a bowl of mush with no taste at all.

Order at your own risk at this point. Their Avon location was always the best.

I used to like this place a lot, but overtime the Food quality has gone down significantly. The people that worked there, I don’t know how to read because every time I order online, they mess up my order. They forget to put meat in my bowls or they’ll put rice instead of sweet potato noodles when I clearly ordered sweet potato noodles. The meat is dry. I stopped going there for a while for this reason and went there today to give it one more chance, but I don’t think I’m ever gonna come back.

I’ve had this place bookmarked for a while because I love Korean cuisine. My family and I decided to get dinner there late Saturday afternoon. Parking was plentiful. The restaurant is a fast casual environment with some tables. The two people working the counter was super nice.

We ordered two corn dogs for my toddler and as an appetizer. We had the cheesy potato and the cheesy meat. Those were good, hot, and crunchy. We also had a cup of miso soup ($2.50) and very small side of kimchi; the amount of kimchi given was not worth the $2.50. We got the Korean bulgogi which is thin sliced BBQ beef with teriyaki sauce, onion, and carrots.

Unfortunately, the flavor of the bulgogi was lacking in that dish, it was very bland and I didn’t enjoy it. Eventually, I plan to go back to try out the bibimbap, spicy pork, and Korean fried chicken. The pictures online for those items, look pretty delicious. But for now, I don’t recommend the beef bulgogi, unless they change up the recipe. Another downfall, they didn’t have restrooms for us to use, we had to go next door to Dunkin. The place seemed pretty popular for takeout though.

I absolutely love this place! There aren’t many locations unfortunately, but the 20 minute drive is worth it. You start by choosing your base- white rice, brown rice, or sweet potato noodles (no sweet potato taste. Just clear glass noodles). Then you choose from the variety of vegetables. Next is your protein which is chicken, spicy chicken, or beef. Then they go in the back and prepare it. It takes about 5-10 minutes at most. The rice, noodles, and meats are already cooked so it doesn’t take long at all. Finally they bring it out and you pick your sauce that they drizzle on top. My favorite is the soy lemon and teriyaki duo. A hot sauce is also an option. The bowl is not soaked in sauce for those of you sauce lovers. The amount they give you is enough to flavor and soak into the food. You can always ask for more sauce which is what I did this time. A bowl comes with this nice light miso soup which I drink right out of the container. Their lunch special comes with a drink till 3:00.

One bowl is enough for normal people. I, on the other hand always order two bowls because it is so delicious. I get one sweet potato noodle bowl and one brown rice bowl. For vegetables I get broccoli, zucchini, carrots, onions, and mushrooms. Then the soy lemon and teriyaki sauces. They have a new item on the menu which are these new Korean meat dumplings. They are so delicious! They have Korean leeks, carrots, sweet potato noodles, and egg. I hope they keep them on the menu!

If you’re a lover of stir fry then this is your place. The downside is that it gets busy there. I’ve been to the Avon location which to be honest tastes different and doesn’t give you as much food. The West Hartford location is where I go.

Hi Im A Flying Person
We ordered through DoorDash. I was really excited to try this place because I’ve been really liking Korean food lately. But, unfortunately I was left feeling disappointed. I ordered the Galbi, the portions were generous but it didn’t taste good at all. It was chewy and soggy. I felt nauseous eating it. We also ordered the spicy Korean Fried Chicken, which was a lot better. My boyfriend enjoyed it. The prices were pretty reasonable when you compared them to other Korean restaurants in the area. But I probably won’t order here again.

My 1st visit, and although this place doesn’t have curbside appeal, the food is amazing. We ordered the bowls which is a similar process as Chipolte. You pick your base, protein, and veggies. The difference is that they take the bowl and cook it all up for you and then you can add sauces. We ordered the chicken and spicy chicken. Will definitely be back.

I tried their veggie bowl with tofu and added hot sauce with sesame oil. Hot stone was extra $2 and kimchi came as a side for additional $. The bowl was flavorful, quick and easy. However I wish it was more affordable

The place is still as good as ever! I ordered the bi bim bam as a lunch special for $11.25 which includes a drink. But then I got an order of boneless wing and they were delicious as well. On the bi bim bam I ordered double protein and it was packed with meat. All fresh veggies and I ordered it with sweet potato noodles which are super healthy for you! What a great place to eat lunch. This is one of my must try recommendations!

Used to come here often pre-pandemic. Really loved their bibimbap bowls & chicken tenders. Staff is always friendly, service fast. However, coming back post-pandemic just doesn’t feel/taste the same. Ordered from here today and found a COOKED FLY in my bibimbap bowl. Don’t think I’ll be coming back again.
