The best fried chicken I’ve ever had! Crisp on the outside, moist and delicious on the inside. I would definitely recommend!

Appears unassuming from the outside, but the food is wonderful. The chicken is juicy, and everything is so flavorful. I highly recommend the baked beans, as they have this lovely smokey flavor. The mashed potatoes and gravy were tasty, and the onion rings were hot and crisp.

Road tripped to the chicken capital visiting area of youth fishing trips to strip pits. Love history of food places and Pichler’s Chicken Annies has that in the chicken family lore of KS. Chicken was good, I like more spice in my skin, wife loved it. Enjoyed the sides of german potato salad cold, green beans were amazing explosion of bacon flavor- highly recommend. Mushroom appetizer was good choice. Nice touch of sliced bread basket and vegetable oil spread – where’s some real butter??

My mom is from kansas. So back in the 80s we would stop here and eat on our way to Ft Scott to visit grandma. When she passed in 94 i never went back to kansas. So 31yrs later i stopped by here on my way back from KC. It taste exactly the same as i remember. Best chicken and juiciest white meat ever. Go out of your way to eat here. You will not be disappointed! Get onion rings and chicken livers as well.

Don’t bother going to this one. First off the bread was cold the wings were cold, baked beans were more of a bbq flavor and were not good nor were the green beans. I had a thigh dinner and they were warm. The onion strings were not bad. At least they took off the wing dinner.

I ordered mixed fried chicken with mashed potato and coleslaw salad as a side. No joke but this is probably the best Fried chicken I have had so far. Also the server ‘Kate’ was welcoming and was attentive throughout the meal to make sure everything we needed without being overbearing.

First off, it’s good fried chicken for a fair price. But I was still a little disappointed. The good: chicken was hot and fresh with good flavor, and it came out fast. Not so good: the mixed three piece is just two legs and a scrawny wing? The good: sides were served in good portions. The. It so good: the bread was like dry Wonder bread, the spaghetti was bland, and the German potato salad was far too vinegary — it was all you can taste. The onion rings were great, however, and a “full” order was more than two people could eat. Overall, it’s just an OK chicken place with a cool history, but keep in mind this isn’t the original location; that one is up north of Pittsburg.

We go hours out of our way for old school restaurant.

Best chicken in the world. German coleslaw and potato salad plus sourdough bread…amazing.

We were shocked at the quantity and low price a family meal was.
