Went there for dinner as a couple. We had a fantastic time. The food was absolutely delicious and high quality. The short rib melted in the mouth. The salad with figs and goat cream cheese was also wonderful. Cocktails were very well made and tasty even though I had one that was not on the menu. I highly recommend the venison and the pork as mains. The waitress was fantastic – Hvala, Stefanie! Also special thanks and compliments to the chef – Marin! We will recommend this place to all our friends and we are sure to visit again when we are in Dublin. It was definitely worth it!

This Michelin Bib Gourmand spot is a great nice night out, with their ambiance warm and the service excellent. The menu is French-based, with great options for fish, steak, or vegetarian. They make some awesome cocktails!

If the Dry Aged Tomahawk Steak with smoked bordelaise is on the menu, it’s a great pick! You get two sauces on the side and a nice little side salad.

One of the dishes we ordered had a sauce so phenomenal that our waiter brought us complimentary sourdough bread (amazing!!!) to soak it all up!

The Christmas set menu for our business dinner was exceptional. The short ribs starter was perfectly seasoned, and the Angus strip loin main was cooked to a spot-on medium-rare. We were impressed by the attentive waiter and the kitchen’s flexibility in accommodating dessert changes. Absolutely worth a visit!

This was the best restaurant we have been to this year. My wife had the Halibut and described it as the tastiest fish she has had in a long time. I had the artichoke ricotta and it was nothing sorry of superb, it really did tickle the tastebuds. There was little potato crisp as decoration and even they were delicious. The wine was also good. The service was also too notch. It was an expensive experience but only because we had some fine wine, the place is reasonable. All in all we had a good experience in one of Dublin’s top restaurants. Pichet is definitely one of our favourite places over the last few years.

Had a very nice meal at this bistro. The staff is a little too faux French but professional and efficient. Interestingly I had the best chimichurri sauce I have ever had at a French restaurant in Dublin??? It was served as a sauce to go with the steak frites. I would like to see it on the menu. The two bartenders made a great selection of drinks done very well.

Absolutely worth the bib gourmand. Had the 81€ pp Xmas menu, the glazed ribs as entree is an absolute must, tender as anything and perfect flavour. Venison is the best cooked one I had all across Ireland. Really worth a visit over this season.

I got the opportunity to visit the Restaurant without reservation by myself and I truly enjoyed the service, food and atmosphere. First time trying the venison and was a top notch, also the roasted cauliflower is a must try. Definitely is worth a visit.

Recommended. Great atmosphere and location. Food was excellent from starter to dessert (maybe the ice cream on top of the warm chocolate mousse was supposed to be done last minute , it was a bit too melted)…

My fiancée and I went here to celebrate our anniversary. It was a very nice place and the staff were very pleasant. I got flowers before I came and sat down, and one of the waiters asked me if I wanted some water and he gave me a jug of water for them, which was nice, a small gesture but appreciated.

We got the Tomahawk Rib eye for 2. It was nice but it wasn’t outstanding… I thought it was a bit too salty. The only complaint from my fiancée was that it didn’t come with rice We both had the Gambas for starters…it was a little bit too salty but not too salty that you can’t eat and finish it. It was flavourful, I have to say! Overall, it was expensive – €204 for 2 people (we had 2 Gambas, the Rib eye for 2, 1 cocktail, 1 glass of wine, 1 chocolate mousse & 1 tea). The restaurant got quite loud when it got quite busy and people starting talking. Restaurants can fix this issue easily by installing curtains, I don’t know more restaurants don’t do this…. Especially to cater for more neurodiverse audience.

TL;DR

Nice food but the Gambas & the Tomahawk Rib eye were a bit too salty; nice staff; expensive & quite loud

We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance while looking for a place to eat without a reservation and were surprised to see it had a Michelin star. We decided to give it a try and asked for a table. At first, we were told—rather arrogantly—that it wasn’t possible. As we were leaving, we were suddenly called back and told we could have a table, but only for an hour. This didn’t appeal to us since it meant rushing through the meal, and when we hesitated, we were told in a dismissive tone that we wouldn’t find anywhere else to eat anyway. Eventually, we agreed, and the “one hour” somehow turned into an hour and twenty minutes.

From the moment we walked in, we felt unwelcome. The staff treated us as if we didn’t belong there or couldn’t afford to dine there. The atmosphere in the dining room itself was pleasant, but the service was condescending, cold, and far from what you would expect from a Michelin-starred restaurant. When asked if we wanted wine or water, we politely declined, only to receive another unfriendly remark. It was clear we were not made to feel like valued guests.

Because of this treatment, we decided to only order one main course each instead of a full meal. The food itself was fine—the sirloin and tagliatelle were tasty, though overpriced for what was offered. The real issue was the attitude of the staff. To make matters worse, we noticed other guests who arrived after us, also without a reservation, being seated without any issues and treated much more warmly. This only reinforced our feeling that we were not welcome.

The only positive note was one waitress (short hair) who was genuinely kind, but unfortunately, she was the exception. Overall, while the food was decent, the dining experience was terrible. The lack of hospitality, arrogance, and dismissive behavior ruined the evening for us. From a Michelin-starred restaurant, we expected much more. We left disappointed and will certainly not eat here again.
