We stopped here recently for dinner, and it was outstanding!
The service was friendly and attentive. The owner even stopped over to check on us as well.
The food was excellent as well. We started with an appetizer of fried calamari, shrimp, scallops, and French fries and that was outstanding. The breading on the shrimp is really good.
For dinner we had rigatoni bolognese which was very good, a carbonara that was very traditional and delicious with a ton of guanciale, a chicken parmigiana that was very good, a Veal cutlet milanese style, and a mortadella and pistachio pizza that was outstanding!
For dinner we had sorbet and a strawberry mascarpone & ricotta cake that was one of the best desserts I’ve had in a very long time.
We will absolutely be back! This is a great place and we highly recommend it!

We had a lovely date here! However, the desserts were the main items that were delicious. We weren’t a huge fan of the appetizer and my boyfriend didn’t really care for the lasagna. The dinner time drinks were on the stronger side but the sangria tasted watered down. However, dessert drinks were amazing. I can see possibly coming here again in the future. They also did have a live pianist which was very nice and relaxing!

Amazing food, service, atmosphere, everything! Will definitely be back. All staff were kind and you can tell with every bite that lots of effort and care were put into to each dish!!! I liked how, when making a reservation, they ask if you have any dietary restrictions of any kind. While I do not have any, I found that to be very inclusive and considerate. I would recommend to anyone.

All I can say is: wow! The food was EXCELLENT, everything was delicious. Chef Stefano even came over to our table to see how we were and gave recommendations, I saw him bopping in and out and taking his time with other tables as well. You can tell he truly loves what he does. It was fairly busy but our waitress was always on top of everything and it wasnt a terrible wait to get our food. I’m looking forward to returning!!

My husband and I had dinner at Piccocchi in downtown Scranton tonight, and it was truly an exceptional experience. The food was phenomenal and some of the most authentic Italian we’ve ever had. You can taste the quality in every bite, and it’s clear the ingredients are carefully sourced and prepared with pride.
The atmosphere is beautiful and welcoming, and the service was outstanding. The staff was incredibly polite and attentive, and the owner personally checked on guests throughout the night, which made the experience feel even more special.
We were recommended to try Piccocchi by friends, and it exceeded every expectation. This is easily one of the best and most authentic Italian restaurants in the area. We will absolutely be back and highly recommend it.

My girlfriend and I originally had reservations for another restaurant that had to be canceled due to no power. We scrambled for a new place since this was last minute. I really wanted some authentic Italian food.
I found this place and am glad I did. The atmosphere was good. We didn’t realize it would be a more upscale venue, we showed up in graphic tees and pants. We were very underdressed because every other person was in dress clothes. They have an overhang above the bar where there’s a singer/piano player who played music throughout our dinner.
The service was great. We never had to ask for anything. It was always taken care of before we needed to ask.
My girlfriend wanted a moscato, but was unsure which. The chef & owner is a sommelier and recommended a great moscato for her that she loved.
Everything we had was great. We tried the meatballs for an appetizer. They were really good and flavorful with good red sauce and pecorino cheese.
I then got carbonara, which was the best I’ve had besides in Italy. All the ingredients are imported, or made fresh in house. It was an authentic carbonara, not like most other restaurants do here. The noodles were thick and good. The sauce was flavorful and the guanciale was amazing.
My girlfriend got chicken Parmesan with gnocchetti noodles (also recommended by the owner) and 4 cheese sauce. This was also very good.

Having had the pleasure to dine here several times, I have no doubt that this is the best restaurant in NEPA. The food is phenomenal. Every dish I’vr had has been exceptional. The pasta is flavorful and fresh. Their pizza, appetizers, and desserts are amazing.
The atmosphere is superb and the service is top-notch. Everyone is very attentive and wants to ensure a superb dining experience. Mr. and Mrs. Picciocchi are always working to ensure that their restaurant is the best. They do a fabulous job.
