Reviews
My son also ordered a meatball pasta. And the pasta was way over cooked, and the plate was dirty and had black stuff all around, see the picture for reference.
Even though the restaurant have a good reviews, majority of these reviews are long time ago when it use to be a decent restaurant.
The new owners have completely changed the atmosphere, staff – friendly customer service, and cleanliness of the restaurant.
We are definitely impressed with the changes. SAME GREAT FOOD AND BUT FRESHER!! Salads were fresh and delicious!
***Reason for 3 STARS
PLEASE STOP overcharging for GF. People with allergies shouldn’t be taken to the bank. Be reasonable and stop up pricing for allergies.
We ordered a gluten-free and diary free option. Looked and tasted delicious.
A few small notes: if it’s your first time here, be aware that you order at the counter before you sit down, and you’re prompted to tip before the service actually happens, which felt a bit unusual for a ‘full service’ vibe. A minor hiccup was the actual service once we sat down; our waters went empty and nobody came by to refill them or check on us even once.
Besides those minor things, I’d say this is a good spot to try if you haven’t been before. I’m not sure I’d go out of my way to return, but it’s certainly not bad in any sense!
We met Ryan the owner, he was awesome, he was schlepping Ice and making setups, glad to see small business owners taking pride in their place and keeping it close.
We will be back often…
The gluten-free pizza tasted so good. The crust, to me, doesn’t taste gluten-free; and the toppings made it taste wonderful.
Service is fast and friendly. Even after bringing our pizzas, we were asked every now and again how we were doing.
I highly recommend Puccino Wood Oven Pizza.
But the quality of the food just was not good.
Starting with the salad–it was supposed to be a caesar salad, but the dressing had very little taste to it. Real caesar salad has anchovy and some sort of mustard. This didn’t taste like it had either. I’m not kidding–it tasted like a watered down ranch dressing. Also, we were told at the counter that it came with garlic bread on the side. All we got was foccacia–no garlic or butter on it at all.
I ordered a meat calzone, and my partner ordered cavatappi alfredo. These dishes were prepped and put on the counter for the waiter to bring to us. We watched as the waiter looked at the dishes and then walk into the kitchen of the restaurant. We waited a few more minutes before I finally went to get our food. As I was reaching for them, the waiter reappeared and said “Hey, I can get those to you.” By then, I already had the dishes snatched up so I just told him that I had it.
The calzone was supposed to come with a side of marinara, but it was never brought to our table.
The cavatappi alfredo was served in a bowl that, it appeared to us, it was microwaved in. There was evidence of bubbled cheese on the edges of the bowl the whole circumference.
During the course of our meal, we were approached once to see if we needed a refill–at least our glasses were not quite empty at that moment.
All in all, I couldn’t recommend the place. The atmosphere was fine, but the service was lacking, and the food is only mediocre at best.
