9.15.24 Great first-time visit. Ample parking. Indoor/outdoor venue. Margaritas got better with each round. Enchiladas and Chimiganas were good. Overall we had a great dinner.

So they steered us to the traditional food
All of us thought some of the best Mexican food we’d ever had ( including those who travelled extensively)
A few got the Molcajetes
Wow – talk about presentation!!!
Enormous stone bowls arrived sizzling at our place
Included cactus which was quite good
So much food- literally enough for 3 meals!
One got a burrito- again best ever had
Another- fajitas- again enough for 2 meals!
Another got the homemade flautas- excellent also
Would definitely come back again

Love good food! My husband and I always sit outside and it always rains! With the outdoor umbrellas it’s quite OK. We get to laugh and enjoy being outdoors in thie wonderful area. Growing up between Arizona and here, this food is great at Picantes. A must try. Flavors are fantastic and Service is always with a smile. This time we ordered Tamarind margaritas with dinner and they didn’t disappoint.

I took it as a promising omen when I dipped a tortilla chip into, bar-none, the best salsa in the tri-state area! Smoke and spice and where the tomato component was in perfect balance/union with the other ingredients. Often times, locally at least, the taste of tomato overpowers the other ingredients that collectively should give you the nirvana of a true salsa experience! The service is wonderful and the waitstaff very friendly! Very good ambiance and very clean! White table linen to boot! We all selected items from the Mexican side of the menu but we will be back to try the Italian side! I have a feeling we will be equally satisfied.

Got food to go and sat at the bar while waiting. The service was very friendly and the atmosphere was lovely. Some of the best chips and salsa I have had yet. The food was delicious and made a happy family!

Went here for the first time a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it. Great atmosphere and food was fresh and very filling — good portion sizes — not too big or too small. A variety of options for vegetarians. Our waiter was friendly and very quick with getting out orders.

An authentic and very good Mexican restaurant in Northwest Connecticut just a little south of Massachusetts. I tried the Fish Tacos and they were excellent. The fish was fresh and tasty and the veggies were fresh. Also, the corn tortillas tasted like they were homemade. I would probably have given them a 4.5 if that was possible but the food and atmosphere certainly deserved better than a 4. Will definitely eat there again.
