Welcome to Piazza D’Angelo, proudly bringing southern Italian cuisine to the heart of Marin.
Named after the restaurant’s location right on the piazza of downtown Mill Valley, Piazza D’Angelo is an ode to Southern Italian trattorias – family owned, rustic neighborhood restaurants that serve fresh, unassuming, locally-sourced delicious food.
With a bustling bar scene and a natural light-soaked dining room, Piazza D’Angelo evokes a Mediterranean dining experience with a unique sense of home comfort.
Enjoy a variety of fresh pastas, wood-fired pizzas, antipasti, as well as fresh fish, prime meats and our signature tiramisu.

Restaurant with gorgeous ambiance, tasty meals and great service. The dining area is a big room with high ceiling, room filled with with happy conversations. We ordered Insalata Di Pera, delicious Garlic Bread, Zuppa Di Pesce with clams, shrimp, calamari, salmon in a tomato broth stew and angel hair pasta. Everything was excellent and delicious.

Beautiful spot with flavorful bites, amazing pizza, decent wine list and friendly service. We even moved to the bar after our meal for wonderfully made espresso martinis!

Enjoyed my time here. The ambiance is nice. They have outdoor seating with heaters which is a great option. Service was super friendly and we were seated right away even though it looked busy. The food is mediocre except for the pizza. If the pizza wasn’t good, this would’ve been a 3 star review. These guys make a great pizza, in fact I think we had 2 of them. All the pasta dishes lack any kind of rich flavor but instead are just extremely salty. I had the Spaghetti Bolognese and the meat sauce was just overpowered by salt. Appetizers were as expected, Calamari was good but overall the pasta dishes were disappointing. Just get the pizza.

06/22/93 – update – this places still got it, so good.
I absolutely loved this place. Best Italian I’ve had yet around the north bay.
Everything ordered was delicious.
The only draw back is they don’t give free bread.
Two pizzas and the Creme Brule were also ordered, but no pictures were taken of that.

This place very exceptionally delicious. Every item we ordered was amazing! I would highly recommend stopping by Piazza D’Angelo. The staff was warm, inviting and always there at the right times. We tried the pizza Capricciosa, it was cooked just right, crispy, thin, but not too thin. The beet salad was perfectly balanced, very healthy, very refreshing! I could go on but an excellent experience awaits you.

Food is good, but a bit overpriced for the portions and quality. Servers are incredibly busy and will forget an order occasionally but always apologetic. Risotto was not al dente, butternut squash ravioli was undersalted. Might have just been an issue with the specials that night, as we’ve also had great dishes here (ossobuco).

Food was ok!
The crust was mediocre — nothing memorable in texture or flavor. The sauce matched the crust: equally mediocre, lacking depth or freshness. Overall, a pretty forgettable slice.

Delicious Italian food, I would not say 100% authentic but still very good … they have been here since 1981 for a reason …

Piazza D’Angelo in Mill Valley offers a delightful dining experience with great food and warm service. The Margherita pizza was perfectly balanced, the focaccia bread with pesto dip was fresh and flavorful, and the broccolini pizza was a unique treat. A cozy spot for authentic Italian fare. Highly recommend!

A heartfelt thank you to Luigi and his entire team for coordinating such an extraordinary event at the Acqua Hotel for our daughter’s wedding rehearsal! The menu was absolute perfection—every dish was beautifully balanced, with portions and flavors that felt both rich and light.
We are especially grateful for your flexibility in accommodating last-minute changes with additional guests, menu items, and drinks. Everything was handled seamlessly and with such professionalism.
We look forward to returning to dine in and will be reaching out when it comes time to plan our anniversary or announcement celebration. We couldn’t recommend Piazza D’Angelo more highly—their outstanding service and exquisite menu truly set the standard for hospitality!
