I’m inspired by spaces like this that are an easy blend of comfortable and classy @healing-ground.online
Everything about this Italian restaurant was top-notch – from the elegant atmosphere with crisp white tablecloths to the warm and attentive service. The food was absolutely delicious – every dish full of flavor and beautifully presented. We came for dinner after a lovely walk through La Jolla, and it was the perfect way to end the evening. Highly recommend!
The only saving grace of the evening was the busboy, who was attentive and friendly. He kept our water glasses filled and checked in on us far more frequently than our actual server. Without his help, the experience would have been even worse. Because of his excellent service, I’m giving this place two stars instead of just one.
On top of the poor service, there were unexpected charges that left a bad taste in our mouths. We were charged an extra $3 for a small side of marinara sauce to pair with our calamari order and another $3 for soda water. At no point were we informed that these items came with an additional cost, which felt like a sneaky way to nickel-and-dime customers. For a restaurant that claims to be a quality Italian establishment, these kinds of surprises are unacceptable.
With so many other great Italian restaurants in the area, I won’t be returning here. The long wait, inattentive service, and hidden fees made for a frustrating dining experience, and there are far better options out there that provide both better service and transparency.
