I want to leave a Valentine’s Day review for this restaurant.

First of all, this place was recommended to us, and I made a reservation back in December for Valentine’s Day. I had been waiting for this day for a long time to enjoy a nice dinner. We reviewed the menu online before coming, but the actual menu at the restaurant was different and more expensive.

When we arrived, we were seated after about 5–7 minutes, which was fine. However, nobody brought us menus or water. Two more tables near us were seated after we were, and for some reason they received menus and water right away — before us. The restaurant was full, but that is not an excuse.

We waited 20 minutes for menus, which is insane, and about 30 minutes for water, while other tables that were seated after us had already placed their orders.

The tables were extremely small, and the worst part was that they were shaking. Shaky tables in a restaurant are very unprofessional — especially when main dishes cost $35–$65.

The menu offered a four-course meal for $92, which sounded amazing. You could choose an appetizer, first course, second course, and dessert from two options each. When the server took our order, she mentioned something about a tasting menu, but we didn’t fully understand what she meant, especially since $92 is already very expensive.

The first appetizers were served 50 minutes after we arrived. Portions were very small — all of them. For example, my main course was lamb with cauliflower. You can see in the picture (taken before I touched the food) that it was just one lamb chop.

Between the first and second courses, there was another 40-minute wait.

Thank you for the free bread, but as a 7-month-pregnant woman, it was extremely uncomfortable for me to sit in those chairs for over two hours.

We had to take dessert to go because it was very warm and hard to breathe inside the restaurant after such a long time. I had to leave and wait for my husband in the car.

I’m not even kidding — our reservation was at 7:45 PM, I left at 9:50 PM, and I left just five minutes after the main dish was served.

The food was average. The cauliflower was overly salted, and I couldn’t eat it.

We wasted $255 on dinner and felt like we worked there instead of enjoying ourselves.

I’m very disappointed and sad. I do not recommend this place. They were clearly understaffed.

Today we visited this restaurant and were very dissatisfied with the service, we were not given all the utensils, then we were not given plates for the second course, after the meal they were in no hurry to take the plates away, but the cherry on the cake was when the boy wiped the floor near our table, and then with the same towel our table and it was all in front of us. The only thing we liked was the pasta prepared by the chef in a wheel of parmesan, and also… the grilled octopus was very bitter and not tasty. On average, our check came out to $100 per person, for this amount we would like better service and tastier dishes

A very authentic and delicious Italian restaurant. Nestled in the hear of downtown Burien, this place is TRULY a hidden gem. The Gnocchi was exquisite. Athens Bruschetta was fantastic and amazingly prepared. Will definitely go back! If you are looking for am upscale Italian restaurant with great food and a great atmosphere, you owe it to yourself to visit this establishment.

When making the reservation I asked for them to write in the plate for my mother in law birthday dessert. They did an amazing job! The food was absolutely amazing. I can’t remember all the names of the dishes but the table service pasta is to die for! Omg yum

The pasta alla ruota here is a must-try. I had never seen anything like it before — they prepare the pasta right in front of you in a giant wheel of cheese, and it feels like a little show at your table. The presentation is impressive, but the flavor is even better: creamy, rich, and unforgettable

We’ve come back several times, and every visit has been excellent. If you live in Washington or are visiting, I highly recommend stopping by this Italian restaurant

We chose this restaurant for a Valentine’s Day dinner and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience.

The service was extremely slow. We made an early reservation and were seated when the restaurant was not even half full. We ordered shortly after being seated, yet we waited over an hour between courses and our next dish still had not arrived. We had to flag down our server to ask what was happening. While he apologized and waived the drinks (Ty!), the overall experience had already been overshadowed by the excessive wait.

The timing and execution felt disorganized and poorly managed. We understand holidays are busy, but better planning and proactive communication are expected — especially on Valentine’s Day.

Based on this experience, we will not be returning and cannot recommend this restaurant. (I did enjoy the live music performance, to be fair)

UPDATE: After we explicitly asked to pay for what we had already received and leave due to the excessive waiting time, we were suddenly told that our next courses had “just come out” and were packed up in boxes for us (again Ty!).
Unfortunately, both the halibut and the lamb chop (very small portions btw) were visibly way overcooked (see attached photos).

Really nice local Italian place, great atmosphere… we made reservations so we didn’t have to wait. Parking around dinner time can be harder to get, but it’s free street parking. They have an outside area to eat as well. We’ve been there a couple times. the food there is really good, recently, went there with some friends. Overall, the food was good. Got truffle fries to start which was excellent, super yummy. We got the lobster ravioliwith prawns, steamed mussels, lobster bisque soup and the special, which was basically, spaghetti worth prawns in cream sauce, can’t remember the Italian name. All the prawns were cooked excellent, not over cooked. The steamed mussels were good, but a little salty, not their best that day, but had it before and was yummy. The lobster bisque was a little salty but great flavor with some lobster chunks. Note that I typically use less salt in my foods, so might be salted good for most people. The special was really good, simple…. we’ve had the fried calamari appetizers and black squid ink pasta with seafood, which was both really good. Medium priced, very nice place, good food.. nice place for dinner with friends or family.

A large variety of unique, well-prepared Italian-style dishes in a comfortable dining area (with outdoor too in good weather). Try the brussels sprouts appetizer, or the Misto Pesce (seafood). The desserts are all well-made and delicious!
