The service started as we walked up to the restaurant. We were greeted and brought to our table. It was raining so we couldn’t enjoy the patio but the big open front made for a very wonderful experience. It’s a cozy space in all the right ways, nice big tables for groups and smaller ones for two.

I choose Piacere for my birthday dinner, during my vacation trip. In one word; this place was PERFECTION. Perfect food, music, staff. Eddie, our server, was fantastic, he helped me with a special request. Everything was absolutely delicious. We got meatballs, seafood spaghetti, rugula salad with pear, diavola pizza (Yes we eat a lot :P) and the chocolate soufflé for dessert! I will continue posting my boyfriend happy face in those reviews. We can’t wait to come back! It

Granted we went on one of the hottest days of the year, but the table by the front window was so uncomfortably hot. We had to ask them to close the front door to give the ac a chance to work, which didn’t help. When I went up to go to the bathroom I discovered the back of the restaurant was so much cooler and comfortable so that was annoying. Very loud but all places are I suppose.

The food is ok. No complaints but pretty much regular for the price and for being an authentic Italian restaurant.

We are not from NYC and picked Piacere from Google and due to its proximity to a subway stop (and good reviews), but we were really glad we did! Phenomenal service, wonderful atmosphere, and some great Italian cuisine! No kids menu, but both my kids (7 and 9) found something they liked on the menu (Margherita Pizza and Chicken Milanese) and ate everything on their plates, which is a miracle because usually they just like Cheeseburgers and Ice Cream. Prices were reasonable. The desert we got was also excellent! Overall, a really great experience for us and our kids! Would recommend if you are looking for a great Italian meal that is a little off the beaten path!

They do everything perfectly. The food, the setting, the warmth, and the service. Everything is homemade. Take time to have some desserts…this place is amazing.

Piacere is always such a joy. It’s one of those places you wake up and say “I really wanna go there today.” The atmosphere is incredibly relaxed, the staff charming and the food so delicious that you can’t help but want to keep eating… And still leave not feeling stuffed, but satisfied!
