Pizza: Very fresh ingredients, thin crispy crust, wood fired oven does its job wonderfully. Lots of toppings as well.
Service: For some odd reason they were fairly slow this night, so we got our pizzas within about 5-7 mins. We couldn’t believe it. You don’t have to interact with staff too much as you order as you walk in and they bring pizzas to you when done, no issues nonetheless.
Overall: The pizzas are a titch on the smaller side, but honestly it worked perfect for my wife and I to share 2 different ones we both wanted to try. It is not a nasty greasy pizza like other typical chain pizza places. Just good clean pizza.
If we are back in the Rochester area, we will be back at Pi again for certain. If you are thinking about trying Pi, do it, you won’t regret it.
Not a huge deal- but details matter. They were busy with a TV crew there due to Pi day. So maybe that distracted everyone? The pizzas were okay. I liked the crust, it’s pretty thin and soft. No a lot of toppings. In fact very few compared to Toppers or Godfathers. I had 4 pieces of pepperoni on the whole pizza. They were large pieces of pepperoni but just not enough for flavor or to be sufficient. I wouldn’t get the classic again. I was very let down with it.
I would be interested in trying other things than just pizza if they offer a calzone or pasta. As for the pizza, it was a miss for us. Not bad, but it to the standard I would ever have a craving to eat.
WOW! This is one of the best pizzas I’ve had! I almost licked the box it was that good!
The Pi Knots, a must! A perfect cinnamon sugar over their perfect dough!!! YUM!
Strip mall location. Beige exterior. The kind of place where you think, “Alright… how good can this really be?”
Listen.
It’s not my nonna’s kitchen back in Bagni de Luca with flour in the air and someone yelling in Italian. But what it is… is wild.
That wood fire hits different. Crust blistered just right. Little char spots that whisper, “We took this seriously.” Sauce balanced. Cheese doing that perfect stretch like it trained for it. It’s like traditional Italian pizza got a modern upgrade and decided to hang out in a strip mall just to stay humble.
We finished ours and instead of debating dessert, we looked at each other and ordered three more to go.
Now I’ve got a new mission. I need to try everything on the menu. Every combo. Every topping. I’m basically playing Pokémon Go with pizzas at this point.
Pi Wood-Fired Pizza proved a valuable lesson:
Never judge a pie by its parking lot.
Only 3 notes
1. Loud music
2. The disposable drink station
3. Space out a full course meal with a little more time between courses.
Picture of manager on duty included so he get credit.
