Is Pi-Squared Pizza in Spartanburg any good? – Facebook

Starving in Spartanburg! FOOD UPDATE! First time at Pi-Square and a quick reheat at home. Then I ate the entire large pie. The Pizza is good.

I am a photographer who recently shot content for Pi Squared and really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. I got to try their new meat pie flatbread and it was awesome! They also let me try some wings, and those were tasty and surprisingly filling. It was also cool to see how they make all the dough for their round pizzas and deep dish pizzas literally from scratch.

While the concept of Pi Squared Pizza.and the variety of toppings offered at Drayton Mills holds promise, my recent experience left much to be desired. The most glaring issue was the pizza itself. As you can clearly see, the dough suffered from a distinct lack of rise. Each bite was dense and heavy, completely devoid of the airy pockets that make a good pizza crust enjoyable. It tasted as though it might have been under-proofed and certainly seemed under-baked, resulting in a texture that was far from light and crispy.

Beyond the disappointing dough, the service aspect also contributed to a less-than-stellar experience. While I appreciate giving young people opportunities, the high school staff seemed to struggle with basic tasks like operating the cash register and accurately pricing orders. This made the simple act of paying a somewhat cumbersome and frustrating process.

Finally, the price of $52 for two pizzas and two beers seems a bit high, especially considering the quality of the pizza. While I understand that costs can vary, it would be great if prices were more competitive with other pizza places in the area.

Ultimately, Pi Squared Pizza has potential, but significant improvements are needed in both the quality of their dough, the efficiency of their service, and their pricing. Until then, it’s hard to recommend when there are likely better pizza options available in the Spartanburg area.

My kids and I had a terrible experience at Pi Squared at Drayton Mills this evening. My daughter and toddler’s bread sticks were brought first, followed by a pizza that we didn’t order that was never placed on our table, next part of the order that was specifically ordered to-go for my husband, and finally my son’s wings. After waiting for an hour, a server asked if we were still waiting on something. I told her yes we were still waiting for a small bbq pizza. After about 5 minutes, I walked to the counter and asked for it to go because my kids had been done eating for a while and was getting restless. They explained they were just putting it in the oven and it would be another 10 minutes. The manager Crystal claimed they had made it but didn’t know what happened to it. We waiting for 15 more minutes and the pizza and to-go order was brought to our table with apologies. While packing up my 3 kids, I could clearly hear the manager Crystal explaining that I had had my pizza because I had brought empty plates with Bbq pizza on them to the trash. I offered to let her check my boxes. She said she knew what was in them because she had boxed them for me. I told her to ask the servers. No one had brought pizza to our table. She got loud and I walked out with my kids. After securing them in the car, I walked back in to get her name and ask for the owners contact information. She again got loud and made a scene and asked me to leave. I will be calling Rocky, to report this as well. I will say, I have ordered from here multiple times and loved the food. This is the first time eating inside and we will not be going back, which is unfortunate because again I love the pizza.

Tried for the first time today. Staff was very helpful with it being our first time with suggestions.

Had a dozen sweet heat wings that were delicious highly recommend those. Good size ~$15 for a dozen

Got the meat pi, subbed the beef for spicy pepperoni. It was good. Toppings were quality however, Little Caesars has a crisper and more caramelized edge than this. That’s the only Detroit style I have to compare to.

Only complaint I have is the cheap napkins. I swear we used 15 just for the wings. One use because they’re so thin.

The custard is also great but I’ve had in a long time. Will definitely go back

We ate here during the. Christmas Market. Pizza was really good. The crust had that crispy crunchy outside, yum. The only downside was that the bottled beer was not that cold. Wife said it tasted like the last sip of a normal beer right from the beginning.

The Detroiter is AMZAING! the hot pepperoni are so good and we added Italian sausage and it was well worth it! On the of the best pizzas I have ever had! I see a lot of reviews saying it’s over priced but I don’t know why. We got a 8 slice pizza with 2 meats and a drink for $23. I’ve paid way more for less quality pizza. The slices are huge too! My kids couldn’t even finish I square and they loved it. We will definitely be back to try some of their unique pies. Service and views are also fantastic!

This place is amazing! The pizza is incredible!!! (I’m quite picky when it comes to my pizza!) The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. It’s also kept very clean, including the restrooms. I’m very impressed with this business. The location is really nice, too. The exposed brick with cool pictures inside is really cool to look at. I’ve a 3yr old son and they made him feel so special. OH….you MUST try the custard!!! I’d no idea I was not only going to eat delicious fresh pizza, but also the best custard I’ve honestly EVER had! The owner gave us all samples and I just had to have more! It’s a special custard machine that they should feel very proud to have because it really is that good!!!! Overall, we had an inexpensive, quality, wonderful meal with dessert and had a great time! We really appreciate the awesome service and we will certainly be back again and again and again!!!!!!

Staff was awesome. We order the deep dish and let me tell you the crust was off the chain. Me and wife came in just expecting normal pizza but they knocked it out of the park. Will be returning next time Im in town.

Owner or manager, whoever I spoke to, was rude, impatient, and had very bad customer service skills. I recorded the call as proof, but I called to say we didn’t want a refund or a replacement, just to let them know that the pizza was too hard and that my kiddos couldn’t eat it. He then kept talking over me to blame us saying we got too many toppings. Well, maybe have a disclaimer or try calling a customer as to what a dessert pizza can or cannot handle. Highly wouldn’t recommend.
