Portuguese egg tarts are really tasty, the filling is just sweet enough and the size of each tart is perfect. Not the flakiest crust, if that’s what you like, but definitely worth grabbing a box!

We always come here for the Portuguese Egg Tarts only ($2 each) and parking is always terrible on the weekends. It is located in a very busy plaza on Garvey. The tarts are always good and fresh, creamy and crunchy. This chef who used to work at Jim’s Bakery. The store front and inside aint pretty so dont bring your date here. Custom service is a hit or miss. Minimum for credit card is $20. Sometimes they do sold out so call before going!

The Portuguese egg tarts are great here but they also sell other baked goods and cakes. The location is located in a nondescript strip mall with plenty of parking. On the weekends, there could sometimes be a small line of customers. They require a minimum of $20 for credit card charges.

The egg tarts are delicious! I’ve ate the famous egg tarts in Portugal but they were dense and too sweet compared to these. Closed to go inside the store, only order at the door with one person working. Be prepared for a long line on the weekends.

After trying it at my friend’s place, I got to get me some of these. One of the best egg tarts I have ever had. The egg custard is very delicious, excellent creaminess, and it doesn’t taste too eggy. The crust has a great crunchiness to it, very flaky. 1 dozen for $18, I believe it is a good price, each of the tarts is pretty big. My wife and I love it very much.

I’m a huge fan of Portuguese egg tarts, and I was excited to try Phu’s Bakery after seeing positive reviews. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with my experience.

The egg tarts were soggy and not flavorful, and the packaging was poor. I’ve had much better egg tarts at Jim’s Bakery.

The other baked goods were decent, but they weren’t anything special. The bread was tasty, but it didn’t have much filling. I would recommend Oh My Pan Bakery to anyone looking for a great Chinese bakery goods.

I know this review might sound harsh, but I wanted to share my honest feedback. I’m hoping that the bakery will improve its quality control and packaging in the future.

Everything is so good here I always have trouble deciding what to indulge in (egg tarts or cream puffs) It tastes like it does in HK and the atmosphere is spot on. You will not be disappointed plus it’s really easy to get to and has loads of parking. The staff are really nice too.

This is the second purchase. I have eaten all the Portuguese egg tarts in LA. Before, I thought the Portuguese tarts from Jim’s Bakery were delicious and mellow, but they were a little oily. However, after tasting Phu’s Bakery, they were sweet but not greasy, fresh out of the skin is very crisp. worth buying!

One of the best bakeries in SGV for Paste De Nata (Portuguese egg tart). So far I found this place has the flavor and taste that’s closest to the ones made in Macau.

The egg tart has the flakiest shell with creamy and soft custard filling. I can probably eat 10 of them without stopping. They are so delicious. I brought a box of a dozen to a Christmas this Saturday, they were an instant hit.

Besides egg tarts, the bakery has excellent Chinese bake goods such as paper sponge cakes, Walnut cookies, Bolo Bun, and other goodies.

I found out that they also do custom made birthday and wedding cakes. I browsed their book and saw that they have pretty good cake designs.

This is a small bakery and they are still in COVID locked down mode. You can only see the bake goods through their windows and order through a small window. The service was not too good either. I would have given them a five stars if they were more friendly. The girl took our order seemed to be very unhappy. She didn’t want to answer any of our questions.
