My favorite Thai spot in Spokane, its a small family-owned restaurant. The only downside is that the food can be a bit inconsistent—especially the Thai iced tea, which can vary a lot in sweetness! But their drunken noodles are always a hit. They also offer a lunch combo set, and I usually go for the curry and drunken noodle combo. It’s great because you get to enjoy two classic dishes in one meal!

I got an invite to lunch to try out Phonthip and was excited because I’ve seen this place for quite some time and always wondered about it. It is a smaller restaurant, with low lighting and a traditional atmosphere. The service was great and the staff was friendly and efficient. I ordered Panang Curry with chicken, and I got a 3 star. It was portioned perfect for an individual meal and had a nice light spice. I wish I had asked for a 5 star, but I’ve been to other places that make it so spicy you sweat. Lol! It had a really nice flavor and was pretty tasty! My aunt ordered the pineapple rice with chicken. It was a generous serving and had a good flavor as well. She really enjoyed it. The iced Thai tea was so good and tasted the same as other places I’ve been. I will definitely be back. If you haven’t tried this local little gem, you should absolutely do so.

My order of dinner Pad Thai to go was very small for $18.50. The taste was mediocre. I’m so tired of being over charged for such small portions/deflation.

I’ve heard a lot about this place so I had to try them! First, it’s a very small building, but there is parking to accommodate and outside seating when the weather is nicer. I like that the menu isn’t huge. Just a front and back side. Service was friendly and food came out a little quicker than the expected time frame. All the dishes were tasty! I think my favorite was the pineapple fried rice. Five star spiciness level was not as hot as I’d hope. Still, definitely check this place out!

We had good service, tasty food, no significant issues. We had Thai Basil chicken and red curry pumpkin as our meals, and chicken satay for the appetizer. The chicken was a little overcooked, but not to the point of it being inedible. It was lunch hour, only one other customer eating when we got there, and only one customer when we left. Not too busy at all. Very polite workers.
The food wasn’t the best Thai food we’ve had, but still worth 4/5 stars overall with all things considered.

Don’t let the location fool you! It is indeed NOT a part of the hair place next door Food was delightful! I had the (medium-spicy) massaman chicken curry and the kids had beef fried rice. My picky 7 year old surprised me asking for THIRDS he enjoyed it that much. The sweet ladies here were attentive and made sure I did not need to ask for anything. Highly recommend this hole in the wall, kid friendly, gem of a restaurant!

We have been to a lot of Thai food places and this one is definitely in our top 5 places to eat at when we are in Spokane. The service was great and she was really friendly and pleasant. The atmosphere was very relaxed and easy going, you can actually enjoy a conversation with someone without being distracted by some loud music or TVs all over the place. And then there is the food, I got the Thai Basil with beef and that dish has officially became my favorite dish! The beef was nice and tender, the vegetables were cut in the perfect size and had a wonderful crunch to them and to top it all off the sauce that was used was fantastic! I highly suggest this restaurant.

I’m in town from Houston one of the most diverse food industries in the USA and this is the best Thai food I have ever had. This is as authentic as it gets. Prices are extremely reasonable for the quality of the food. Definitely a must try.

My favorite Thai restaurant in Spokane. My orders were Drunken noodles with shrimp and Masam? Curry. Shrimp rolls were also delicious. Six pieces for six dollars. Spent about $40. Mango with sticky rice was great too! 3-4pm is break time. It is a little bit hot inside restaurant.
