It’s one of those places where you walk in with the car still on expecting to grab your dozen and dip, but every time I walk into Phoenix I’m meeting people and chatting and learning something new from someone I’ve never met before. And all of us keep saying the same thing: these donuts are the best. And it’s not only the donuts! It’s the people here too, feels really warm and with that human touch that’s hard to find at other places. I am a creature of habit so I can only speak for the long-johns (custard – sublime) and a consistently good cup or warm coffee from the burner pot. But everything here looks good and it tastes even better

Why this place doesn’t have a 5 star rating is a total mystery!! I loved this place!! Such a warm inviting spot!
I opened the door and the smell of hot fresh donuts smacked my senses crazy! I was literally in awe! There was a huge variety! I got one dozen regular and a dozen fancy donuts. For good measure, I got 2 muffins – 1 blueberry and a chocolate chip. Holy smokes was my donut delicious!!!
I only ate half of the blueberry because it was huge and it was fresh and delicious. Did I say this place is the best?!! I can’t wait to have more. Get these in your belly!!!

Please, do not sleep on this joint. Wake up early and come in!!!!!! The ham sandwich on a croissant was spectacularly perfect. Came in a little late so wasn’t able to check the full donut line but im sure its just as good.

Came here by accident. My wife and I were early for an appointment and decided to give this donut shop a try and glad we did. Their donuts have a little crispiness than other places which makes them unique. The lady and guy behind the counter are super nice. Surprised that they are not open Sundays. Besides that, we have been a returning customer. Thanks!

I’m from Alabama. My daughter, lives close by, so we go here frequently when I visit. The donuts are awesome and a good variety. We tried the breakfast croissant today! It was huge, soft, yet flakey! The best donuts in the Grand Rapids area hands down! The rose petal donuts in particular are amazing, the fritters are uniquely crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I also appreciate their sausage rolls for a savory treat. Service is so friendly and they consistently include an extra donut or two with any order. Will continue to recommend Phoenix Rising to anyone in West Michigan.

Oh my gosh, do they have good donuts! I am a donut freak, and I cannot get over how big and how CRUNCHY the exterior of the donuts are. They are perfectly soft and delicious on the inside.
If this place were closer to my work, I would be there way too much. I have never once had a donut from them that I didn’t totally love.

I had a little donut and coffee break here $3.95. The donuts are good–not too small (Krispy Kreme) and not so big that you feel bloated, save it for later, or make people cringe by asking if they would like the other half.
Nice variety without being overwhelming, and the coffee was very good.

If you’re into good donuts and pastries, and a nice cup of coffee definitely check this place out. Stopped by late one day to pick up a half dozen and was sad to know they were out, but they created a whole tray of there new Boston cream croissants and was amazed by how light, fluffy, and delicious they were. Ended up buying a half dozen of them instead.
