Food was delicious! Absolutely no complaints. All in all this was a nice experience for what I payed.
Do not think this is an ordinary restaurant. Do not wait for the right circumstance or guests to order from Pheonix Pavilion. I’m an ordinary white male w no affiliation and no particular craving for Chinese food. However I know caring staff and quality ingredients and fresh produce and because the portions are very generous I really do crave the leftovers. This place should be a locals regular stop. Would encourage you to partake soon.
After two hours-finally got food but it was cold NOT FRESH, Folks, for the stupid long wait. Bummed especially for cost. Just not what we had in mind today. Sadly, after years of supporting them, we will not be back.
They probably should not be open on holidays as they are obviously overwhelmed and under-prepared for this popular choice. Happened last time we tried this but I’m an optimist.
Should have known better. Darn. I had strong hopes for a good outcome this year.
Don’t offer a service you can’t provide.
After he shared his experience with me, I called to try to speak with whoever was in charge just to let them know our experience, especially as first time customers. As soon as I asked for a manager, the lady pretended to not know what I was saying and just kept asking over and over again if I was placing an order to go or pick up. When I asked her if She could understand what I was saying, she told me “yes I can understand you just fine and you can speak to me if you want to talk to somebody.“ when I realized she was refusing to let me talk to anybody else, I talked to her about the experience as a first time customer and how she didn’t need to be rude. She started yelling into the phone, lecturing me as well about the 1130 pick up time and I tried to explain to her He was OK with that and was just a little bit early and just letting her know why he was there.
I really wish I would’ve looked at the reviews before trying this place.
Not only is the customer service severely lacking, the soup had zero flavor, I’m mean none. The broth looks like it’s just water that is murky. The pork inside ever so slightly had a tiny taste of ginger and tasted sour. I will leave another review if I get sick from it because it is almost rancid tasting. I was really hoping that at least the food would make up for the horrible treatment.
I left them a 15% tip on a to go order where they weren’t even servicing us and really wish I could get that money back. I really advise anybody looking into ordering or dining out here to really take the good reviews with a grain of salt. Save your money and go to the Dragon Palace as their service is always amazing and the food is delicious. The only reason why we didn’t go to them this time was because they were not open until 4:00. Never, ever again!
