There are not many food choices in this immediate area of SE Marine Drive. So this place gives more variety for meals. The food menu offers all the classic dishes you would expect at a Vietnamese restaurant at OK prices. The management could have the heat higher (this was the same when it used be Panos Greek Restaurant). Free parking in their strip mall lot.

Five stars and my new favorite pho spot! As someone who loves pho and grew up with my mom’s amazing cooking, Pho Zen has exceeded all my expectations. I’ve now tried the special spicy pho, and it was absolutely fantastic. The broth had incredible depth and flavor. I’ve also had their rice dish with pork and chicken, and seriously, the rice itself was so flavourful on its own. The banh mi was so good too. I highly recommend this place. Everything I’ve tried has been delicious. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

I came here for dinner and ordered a bowl of pho and some chicken wings. I read the reviews and saw that many people liked the wings. The pho didn’t have the taste I’m used to — it looked a bit greasy, lacked flavor, and the bean sprouts didn’t taste fresh. The wings were large, well-marinated, and fried properly, but they also didn’t have much flavor. The restaurant seems like it hasn’t been renovated for decades as it looked ran down. The candies next to the cash register are expired.

Wow!!! Hidden Gem ! Michelin star worthy in food but not ambiance. Such unique flavours different from all your other typical Pho shops. The Pho Dac Biet was delicious with a type of broth we have never had before, an atypical but delicious broth! The broth had the flavour of rich bones and spices that was mild at the same time, yet completely different from standard Pho broth in taste. You have to taste it to understand. Absolutely warming to the soul and satisfying! The sticky rice with 5 kinds of toppings was delicious too! The sticky rice was coconut flavoured and served in a generous portion topped with sausage, sliced meats, pate, meatball, and pickled veggies. It tasted so good and reminiscent of Asian street food. They also have real fresh squeezed orange juice that is superb and served with excellent presentation. Last, they have complimentary condiments on each table and the pickled Jalapeños and garlic were an excellent crunch and mildly spicy addition to any bite of food. Loved it!

Big portions, fresh ingredients and rock solid prices.
Taste is also excellent for the money.
I believe this place is northern style Vietnamese cuisine but i could be wrong.
Ambience is nothing to rave about. Service is attentive. Come for the taste and cooking, which is most important.

I’ve always seen this restaurant in my area but was always hesitant to try It, boy how I wish I tried it sooner . This place blew my expectations out the window. The food was delicious restaurant was nice and service was good. Would highly recommend this place.

First time ever having Pho. it was tasty.
Bowl of brisket Pho and a sandwich (which i shared with my daughter). I enjoyed the pho more than the sandwich but we’re both good. Husband and daughter had the same meal.
I would go there again. also service was good and restaurant is clean.
