One of the saddest bowl of pho I’ve had. We got the beef short rib pho and small bowl of filet minion and fat brisket small bowl of pho. The small bowl had barely any meat and any noodles and the beef short rib pho had 3 of these bones with majority of the meat removed from it. And the meat was majority tendon I needed to ask for a knife. Very expensive for what we got. Atmosphere was okay as the music was super loud. Truly disappointed and won’t be coming back.

First of all, the service was terrible. There was only one staff member working the entire time, and I suspect he was also handling the kitchen. He seemed overwhelmed, rushed, and offered no real service. He barely responded to questions, looked visibly irritated, and had no expression throughout.
The atmosphere of the restaurant felt extremely tense and uncomfortable. Worst of all, there was a faint but noticeable unpleasant smell in the air, which made me question the overall cleanliness and hygiene.
The food itself was also very disappointing. The beef was overcooked, dry, and tough. The noodles were mushy and lacked texture. The basil provided was not fresh and had already turned black. Even the chili sauce tasted bitter and dried out.
We waited over 15 minutes for our food despite there being only 3 or 4 tables occupied. Given that there was only one person working front and back of house, the speed was understandably slow, but still unacceptable.
Overall, I would not recommend this place — poor service, questionable hygiene, and low-quality food.

We got the roasted duck noodle soup and the banh canh (pork broth with thick noodles) and they were both so good. The broths for both soups are definitely some of the best broths I’ve had in Davis. We also got the pork spring rolls for appetizers and they were also great!

The food was pretty good, although it was Davis food at San Francisco prices. The pho was pretty good and so was everything else, even though they didn’t have any of their other non-alcoholic drinks available besides the fountain drinks. I liked it but my main complaint is they got our orders wrong twice, first we got a vimacheli but they gave us rice instead of noodles. They also gave us thin noodles instead of flat ones for one of our pho’s. Ending on a good note, the staff was sweet and they had one of the nicest bathrooms i’ve ever been in, period.
