Ordered fried pan pho.. house special & 1 regular witout beef only chicken and egg…The staff was honest and returned to say that the regular pan fried pho is made with beef broth.. which i don’t prefer eating… liked the staff honestly.. so 3 star for him.. He suggested House special Vemicilli bowl with chicken, egg and shrimp.. Very nice food.. Enjoyed it… Thanks

Sign says they open at 11, but the door was locked and they’re usually open at that time. I call and asked if they were opening today. The lady who answered said yeah, yeah with a whole attitude and then she hung up. So I called back to see if it’s a later opening time. She answers again, so I said ma’am you just hung up in my face, I’m trying to see what time y’all open. This thing hollers at me to give her a minute. Never the hell again will I go there, to hell with them people and that food

When we’re in Lake Charles, we come to Pho World!

The consistency, the atmosphere, the people.

Excuse the photos, we devoured everything quickly.

The pho and appetizer were really good and our waitress was nice. I will say that the restaurant felt dingy and the dirty fish tank made me lose my appetite a little bit. From what I could see, the kitchen looked very clean, though. Overall 4/5.

I have eaten at many Pho restaurants in Houston, but Pho World has the most traditional Vietnamese taste. I am glad to live in Lake Charles, will continue to come back to support the restaurant.

Really impressive pho! The broth is very well flavored. I ordered the house special beef pho, and I would order it again. The toppings were very fresh and the portion is large. The services was very fast. I will definitely be back for more pho.

I used to live in Denver where there are a lot of pho houses and the competition is fierce. This place would hold its own in Denver – the pho is delicious.

For a restaurant that names itself pho world, it does not deliver whatsoever when it comes to the authentic flavors of Vietnamese food. Although many would deem the pho from this restaurant as excellent, or with rich flavor, the broth is something that tastes like it was made with too much beef concentrate/msg/ or perhaps no raw spices. The broth was too much on the sweet side, to the extent that you must add lime + mint etc, with no flavor of a broth that has been simmering with beef bones. The broth is the most important factor of pho, needing to be clear with a rich beef taste was practically a mouthful of sugar water with beef flavor. The mint and greens that came out with the noodles were old and wilting with most of them being darker than should be served. The noodles were fine and the meat used (eye round, brisket, meatball) were all on par but more on the tough side. The server did what you expect from an Asian restaurant, take your order and never come back. I spent $70.40 for 4 bowls of pho including drinks and I won’t be back. – for an average of $14.50+ a bowl of pho I expected more of everything since typically a bowl should not go for more than $9.75-$12.75 as per usual.
