Delivery order wise, the food got to me quick and the delivery driver was nice. Food was good, sandwich, wings, and Pho all had good tastes to them, even of the Pho was a tiny bit difficult to construct in its container.
Dine in though? Even better! The restaurant itself is a bit small but I found that, contrary to some complaints that were MORE THAN LIKELY fixed over time, it was a good clean spacious place! Service was attentive and got to my needs as needed and I had no problem from any of them. Food was excellent, from the Thai milk tea, egg rolls, beef and rifle dish and vietnamese beef SANDWICH again, it was better fresh and I enjoyed every bite.
Though I prefer dine in, to me Pho VN was a good place to eat, dine on or delivery order and slight steep price aside, I’d go here again!!!!
Videos and pictures are of my delivery order, the restaurant itself, menu, and dine in food I got.
Also the owner and workers there are the nicest people, I’ve arrived 15/20 min before they close and they were still patient and treated me with kindness. There even waited an extra 30min for me to finish eating, never felt pressured to leave.
I love this place so much I can even say it is my favorite restaurant in Sheboygan. Thank you for everything.
Update 1/19/2025********
I had always loved Pho VN pho as it was consistent and the broth was good. The meat and tendons were unmatched in the Sheboygan area. That was my experience here, 5 years ago.
Went to go eat here with my daughter last week. I ordered a P1 medium and a Thai tea for my daughter. When the waiter bright me the pho, I was taken away by the look of the broth. I had never been scared of eating pho before. The broth looked dark red to a dark brown. Good pho broth is supposed to look clean and clearer than this. I tried the broth and it was a bit sweet. I could not taste any beef flavor as it was overwhelmed with sweetness. I ate some of the noodle and a few slices of beef. The tendons were smaller in portion than normal. Meatballs tasted funny. I could not finish the rest due to the fact it looked horrifying. A really good thing I had ordered only a medium.
The Thai tea was not great either. It tasted really watered down.
Obviously, something changed in their recipe. I heard from other customers about their birth being sweeter, but at the time when I still went here, their pho was still good. Now, I’m seeing what they’re seeing. I’m really disappointed. It may be preferences, but pho should not be sweet. It should have a clean clear taste of natural beef. All ingredients should be fresh in it too.
Would I eat here again? No.
The dining area was tidy, and easy to access. The menu is a little smaller, but a lot of great Viet choices.
The pho was for some reason very sweet. It could be just a preference of recipe, but the overt sweetness detracted from any other flavour.
The spring rolls though have a special place in my heart. As someone who makes the ugliest rolls possible, it was great to see less than perfect rolls, that at the same time were delicious.
Had lunch today, a vegetable Pho and a Bahn Mi. Food was served piping hot, well spiced and generous portions.
Covid precautions and recommendations were in place, with tables appropriately distanced and masks required.
