Pho Viet’s Review

Waiting time: 10 min to be seated
First dish: 5 min

Finally made it here after wanting to visit for a while—worth it.

Food:
•Special Beef Pho: Deep, savory broth served piping hot. The rice noodles are slightly thinner and pleasantly chewy. The beef sinew stands out—gelatinous, tender, and full of flavor. Portion is generous for about $15.
•Banh Mi: Large and satisfying. The baguette is perfectly crunchy outside, soft inside. The creamy spread ties the fresh pickled carrots, daikon, and cilantro together beautifully.
•Shrimp Toast: Crispy and golden with a sesame crust. Good texture, though a thicker shrimp paste layer would improve balance.

Ambience: Clean, casual, modern space—comfortable for a quick lunch or relaxed dinner.

Service: Efficient and friendly; food arrived quickly after ordering.

Value: Excellent—quality and portion exceed expectations at this price.

Standout: The beef sinew in the pho—rarely this well done.

Verdict: Solid Vietnamese spot. Already went twice in one week—will return.

Pho was bit of a disappointment.
Special beef pho was average.
Spicy pho was served with not thin rice noodle, but thicker and more like egg noodle.
Summer roll is juat giant roll wirh chewy meat and 1 shrimp, peanut sauce was strangely dark with no peanut flavor.
Spring roll was burnt..
Bahn mi was not bad.
Pricey for casual takeout place with self serve tables.

Best bang for your buck! I got the vegetarian pho noodle soup to-go, and it came with so many veggies and deliciously fried tofu and full quart of broth! I had two meals! Very tasty and nourishing, I will definitely be back!

Ive been going to Pho Viet’s since they established in the food court of Super 88. For 15+ years my favorite dishes are the Pineapple Chicken (61), Lemongrass chicken (33), & scallion pancakes. I can happily say that the quality and flavor has always been consistent and super yummy! My family loves it here and we are always well taken care of by the staff. 10/10

No frills Vietnamese pho and other dishes. We preferred the chicken egg noodle soup over the spicy beef rice noodle soup. The chicken soup had a deeper flavor and the egg noodles were the perfect texture. In addition, we ordered the wings and smoothies – both excellent.

Best pho I’ve tried in the city!

This has been my go to place for a Bahn mi! The size is reasonable for the price. The baguette is perfectly crispy and the ingredients are delicious. I’ve came here 3x already for their Bahn mi’s because of how reasonable priced they are.

This place was so good and hit the spot on a cold night. I got an order of summer rolls and it came with peanut sauce and some spicy chili sauce on the side too, both sauces went great with the rolls. The pork banh mi was a lot bigger than anywhere else I’ve gone (chopsticks for size reference). I got the lemongrass pork with vermicelli and my friend got the lemongrass chicken breast and both were delicious! I love bringing friends here every time I come visit the area. 10/10 would recommend!

I’ve been coming here for years, back when they were located in Super 88 Market. The staff/owners are incredibly kind and welcoming. The food is also amazing, with good portion sizes! I usually get the lemon grass chicken meal, which is amazing. I also enjoy the pho!

If you’re new to Boston or haven’t found your go to Vietnamese take out spot – you have arrived.

Been going to Pho Viets for about 10 years now and the quality of the food and service remains consistently excellent. Other spots definitely try to cut corners but PV sets a high standard and delivers

Their Banh Mi’s are outstanding. I usually order the cold cut but my gf loves the grilled pork. Great pate and the bread that shatters everywhere if you try to eat it while driving (this is a good sign btw)

Other musts are the cold chicken salad, shrimp fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce, and spicy beef noodle stew.

This family deserves your business

I’m not sure why this restaurant is highly rated, except perhaps because all the Pho I’ve had in Boston thus far has been extremely mediocre. This broth is overly sweetened and lacks depth of flavor. The rare flank arrived already in the broth, so was tough and far overcooked. There was only one piece of tendon and one piece of tripe… quite skimpy. At least the noodles were cooked properly- chewy. The Bun Bo Hue broth is better than the Pho- it has the right amount of heat- but it still lacks the aromatics that the soup should have. *sigh* …the quest continues.
