Compared with a big city pho place, the beef broth flavor was on the weaker side, the rare beef slices were not thin enough, and the noodles were a bit soft. The condensed milk coffee was also missing it’s characteristic strength and was too sweet, condensed milk sweet. Fresh rolls had really fresh ingredients including high quality shrimp, but paired it with a peanut sauce that did not taste quite like typical pho peanut sauce for this dish.

I would say however they do a good job maintaining their restaurant decor, and their waiter was very polite and responsive. No complaints in the services quality at all.

Aside from the satay pho, which didn’t taste of satay, I would not order any other item. The food didn’t taste authentic or very good. Wait times were extremely long despite an empty restaurant at 6pm.

Oh my god this was good.

I am from Vietnam and I can say that this was one of the closest to an authentic taste that I have here in PEI. Had the vermicelli with grilled pork and it was one of the best I ever had.

The owner was nice, I came in, order the food and came out hot, crispy. Ate a bite, and now coming back again for another bowl

If you want some good Vietnamese food, this is the place

Bonus point for the price being very affordable!

Honestly, not much expectation on this Viet restaurant at the beginning, but it gave me a good surprise. It is not the excellent one when compare to the good one in Toronto, but it definitely above average. Service also good. When you consider try Pho, this could be a nice choice in PEI.

the remarkable flavors here are a real draw. the beef pho offered a wonderful taste experience, and the lemongrass chicken was simply fantastic. concluding with a strong vietnamese iced coffee, the intensity of these dishes is hard to find anywhere else in town. furthermore, the owner was genuinely welcoming and eager to answer any questions we had.

a delightful Pho restaurant with real, authentic tasting food. the size of the place is just right, and the couple who run the business are excellent. they treated us so kindly since we were travelers, even offering us some complimentary fried chicken. overall, we definitely recommend this spot and look forward to returning when we’re next in charlottetown.

the lemongrass chicken vermicelli i ordered for pickup was fantastic. it only took about fifteen minutes to prepare, and the proprietors were quite nice. it was a delicious meal with excellent flavor and freshness, even after the short trip home. i’m already planning to get the pho during my subsequent order.

both the beef pho and the lemongrass grilled chicken were highlights of the meal; the pho was delightful, and the chicken was amazingly good. pairing that with their vietnamese iced coffee creates a taste profile that few other establishments in the area can rival. a special mention to the owner, who was exceptionally nice and readily answered all our questions.

we found the meal to be wonderfully savory and full of flavor. the great thing about the spicy satay pho is the control you have over the heat. i chose a much spicier version for myself, but my father easily made his less fiery, meaning we were equally content with our bowls.

Summary:
This restaurant probably makes instant pho broth. They need to do better because it is just wrong to be a Vietnamese restaurant and not make real beef broth.

Service is very poor probably because there is only one server and wait time is very long even if there are very few customers.

We came in around 1:30pm, and the restaurant only had about 3 other tables with patrons, most of which had already received their food. My partner and I each ordered only one dish. We waited 45 mins for our food. With pho, the broth should have already been prepared, and adding rare beef also should not take so long. The fact it took so long to prepare made me think they had not prepared broth or ran out and made instant pho broth. The broth was flavourless.

The positive reviews are confusing to me because the restaurant has a note in their menu that says they do not offer basil, cilantro, or bean sprouts on the side. A plate of these with lime is ESSENTIAL to adding to pho! This made me immediately question the quality of the food.

I ordered egg noodles and it was overcooked and mushy. My partner’s pho was flavourless.
