Arrived in HNL on Saturday and was hungry. My son took me here and it did not disappoint. This is located in Chinatown. When we arrived, the place was super busy with locals. I had the bahn mi and it was super delicious. My son had one of the phos and they put so much meat in it he couldnt finish his lunch. I tasted the broth and it was delicious.

Good noodles and food in the “heart” of Chinatown Honolulu. We enjoyed the tasty noodle dishes and the service was good. Parking can be a challenge. It was a good place for lunch on a Sunday afternoon.

Casual spot with authentic Vietnamese food and friendly staff. It was busy on a Saturday night, but I didn’t have to wait. The customers who came after me and sat next to me were Vietnamese. (They ordered pho, I’ll try that next time.) And so many things looked really good on the menu!
I ordered a pork combo dish. The portion was big, I had to box the leftover. If you like pork then I’d recommend the dish. I won’t order the same dish again, but I will definitely come back and try other dishes in the future.

Super disappointed in the brisket pho. Ordered two orders of pho with brisket at dinner time for take out along with an order of spring rolls. I usually go somewhere else but didn’t want to drive out far so decided to give this place a chance.
When we got home and opened the box, the majority of the brisket they gave were just fat and gristle slices. I tried to salvage what I could but come on. I don’t mind some fat but there were giant chunks of just fat, I would have been better off just ordering no meat.
The broth was decent and the veggies nice. But there are other places with good broth and will actually give you pieces of meat.
The spring rolls had good flavor but were small.
I don’t mind spending money on food if it’s good and we’re satisfied after. But it definitely soured our experience and would not chance this place again.

We are visiting from Oregon and just happened to walk by and thought we’d check it out. So glad we did! The food is delicious. The ingredients are super fresh and the flavors are insanely good. The staff’s super friendly and helpful.

The menu offers a diverse selection of noodle bowls in addition to pho. I ordered the pho dac biet (special), but it was disappointing. The broth lacked depth of flavor, and the noodles were chewy, likely pre-packaged and slightly undercooked. My family had the bun bo hue, which was good, with a rich, flavorful broth and plenty of fresh herbs. The coffee was also enjoyable. Service was friendly but a bit hit-or-miss, as a few items we requested were overlooked. Interestingly, the pho was not as good as the other dishes. I would like to come back and try it again, but it’s difficult when there are so many other good pho restaurants around.

Food was amazing! They have garage parking and the stairwell leaving leads right to the front door of the restaurant. Super convenient.

Bon Bo Hue is legit, authentic taste and flavor. Generous herbs as a topping like banana flower, beans sprout, mint, jalapeños and lemon. I do like mine more spicy, they do have chill oil as a condiment. They also have the garlic chili and Sriracha. The fat, round rice noodles is cooked perfectly and it goes well with the spicy broth. It is rich and savory.
I also ordered the crispy egg roll, so crunchy outside and moist and flavorful inside. Dont forgot to have the Vietnamese Coffee.
Service staff are efficient. Just be ready to order as soon as they hand you a menu. They are fast.
The dining area is a bit cramped, with table very close together just to maximize the space.
I can’t wait to go back soon.

The young female waitress took the wrong order. I asked for nr 73 (com suon non) but she put in nr 95 (suon kho mam). When the dish came out I voiced my doubt but she said it was correct. We only found out when paying that it was indeed the incorrect order. The waiter kept arguing with the cashier that she did take the right order. And the cashier’s attitude was even worse. She was busy talking on the phone and at the same time told us that it was the same price (no its not, its only $2 difference but their attitude bugged me so bad, also I didnt get to eat what I wanted) and what else do we need etc etc (basically “just go away”). No apology whatsoever from either of them. We walked away cuz she was on the phone and we didnt wanna waste more time waiting. It’s a pity cuz we really like the owner (shes very kjnd and friendly) and my husband is in love with their beef pho.

Had their Bun Bo Hue, pretty good. Good ingredients and tender meats, flavor had depth, good spice level. I’m hoping to try their other dishes next time. It’s a spot where I saw a lot of Asians were dining at, also it’s recommended by an acquaintance of mine who’s Vietnamese, so there must be a reason?
Also love how they have a whole page of vegan selections! That’s amazing! I’ll try some of those next time too. Hopefully it’s good.
The service was friendly. The food also came pretty quickly. The restaurant was quite spacious and there were maybe 15-20 tables inside. It drew quite a bit lunch crowd during the week. I can’t imagine how it’s like during the weekend!
