You can’t rush greatness… and Pho Viet on H Street proves it every time. The broth is rich, balanced, and full of flavor that tastes like it’s been perfected over years. The portions are generous, the ingredients fresh, and every dish hits exactly how Vietnamese comfort food should. Easily one of the best pho spots in DC.

The food is delicious, the place is clean, and I really enjoy my time here. I strongly suggest you try it. The coffee, Pho, and Nem nuong are fantastic.

I wanted to like this place, especially since I picked it over somewhere my wife picked, and boy was I disappointed.
They put a ton of black pepper on everything! The pho had a ton of pepper. The lemongrass chicken had no lemon grass flavor, but you guessed it, had tons of pepper. The Bun Bo Hue tasted nothing like BBH, but yes, had tons of pepper.
The Thai tea boba was so overly sweet that my 14 yo son took two sips and left it. Not to mention that the boba was all clumped up.
The service was horrible. On the hottest day of the year, there is no or low AC, and had to ask for water about 3-4 times before the finally brought it, and never offered to refill. My BBH was brought out AFTER everyone else was basically done. And the restroom was a storage room for everything except toilet paper and working paper towel dispenser.
Sad Uber ride back to the hotel…avoid if you’re considering.

Beyond disappointed. Ordered the spicy lemongrass pho and don’t taste the spicy lemongrass at all. I even requested extra spicy, but I don’t even taste the lemongrass. Tried calling to confirm the order and the restaurant didn’t answer after I ordered and picked it up.
Don’t make the mistake I did. Spend the extra time and get from pho viet in Columbia heights. Don’t be fooled. And don’t try to see if this is worth it- it’s not

Amazing Vietnamese restaurant with delicious food!
This restaurant is super cozy and cute, with kind efficient service. We were SUPER satisfied with our meals – pho and a chicken fried rice for entrees and egg roll for appetizer. The egg roll was the biggest surprise – WOW that was good! The flavor was rich and complex. I love that they add the wood ear mushrooms, and topped with the sauce was phenomenal!
We will definitely be back!
Our only complaint was the kitchen is a bit dirty, and unfortunately we could see from our seat!

This restaurant was cute , small and intimate and the bun Bo hue was really good and spicy. I just wish my broth was able to stay warmer a little longer.

Very kind and hospitable staff. I liked the Pho. Pictured is the seafood Pho or the Pho Hai San. The decor was pretty cool, also pictured. The Vietnamese coffee was delicious (pictured). I’m the valiant type that can have espresso at 8PM. Well worth it! The Thai Iced Tea wasn’t too flavorful and could’ve used some sugar. I think they were understaffed because it took a long while to get the check. It was also closing time and you pay at the bar. I’m sure that had something to do with it. They stop seating at 8.

The food was good as well as the cocount boba but tbe portion wasn’t justifiable. Picture 1 was with noodles and pictures 2 was just the soup left you can see how 90% of the bowl is just sup. Left the restaurant still hungry
