The service was okay, a bit inconsistent and sometimes difficult to get staff attention, as they never seem to have enough service staff. The viet ice coffee was very very strong, and for some reason was served half full in a Tuatara beer glass? I hear the mango mocktail was good also. The popcorn chicken was alright, a bit dry however crispy and sauce was good.
I love their table sauce range, 3 types of spicy sauces! Chilli oil, Chin-Su and sriracha. All really good and unique. Great for changing up the profile of a bowl of regular pho.
Overall, I highly recommend Pho Viet Street Food for their authentic food and service.
One of my favourite dishes in the world is banh xeo and this version by Pho Viet DID NOT disappoint! I got a deliciously crispy crepe with a scattered mix of pork/prawn cooked into the batter, served with a side of mixed salads, daikon/carrot pickles and dipped into a light but flavourful nuoc cham sauce, it was all scrumptious Along with this feast for my belly, I also had a delicously refreshing salty lemon soda to chase it all down – so full and happy!!! Attentive and helpful always, our food and drinks came out ridiculously fast – Alex and the whole Pho Viet team are
When my brother offered to fly me down again this year for his birthday, one thing was on my mind PhoViet.
And it was truly worth the wait.
Walking in you often get greeted by Alex, the owner who makes you feel so welcomed and like your part of the family there. Remembers the orders of his regulars, and ensures you are always well fed.
Alex greeted us and remembered me even after a year and ensured myself and my little brother had an amazing time eating truly fantastic food and enjoying amazing drinks.
Big thank you to Alex and his team.
I will be thinking about those summer rolls and those Watermelon long islands until I managed to get back to wellington to visit again.
The food is delicious, I’ve tried a bunch and each item has been amazing. Really quick to come out too even when with a slightly larger group.
The service from all the staff is fantastic but the welcome from Alex is the best, you feel straight away like you’re at home being welcomed in as an old friend.
Will be back again for more soon I’m sure.
