Pho Viet is hands down the best restaurant in Wellington. The food is always fresh and so tasty, and the service is a 10/10. Alex is awesome at his job and creates the perfect atmosphere in the restaurant. I can’t wait to keep coming back here forever. Highly recommend—bring your friends too!

Pho Viet was an amazing experience. From the moment we walked in the customer service was great! They were very busy and still found a space for my group of 3. The staff made time to speak to the group and make sure orders were correct. All were extreamely lovely and appeared to be this way with all. As well as this, the food was amazing! Would reccomend and 100% would come back 🙂

Had to try the house speciality Pho and was not disappointed. Flavoursome broth and packed with vegetables and noodles. Very filling for a hungry single person. My wife had the other house speciality the crispy Vietnamese omelette with pork and prawn. Again a superb dish and plentiful for a single person. Will definitely be returning.

Great authentic food & service here! The best pho I’ve had in Wellington. The beef soup is rich and has visible meat particles (which I actually prefer than fully clear) and loads of noodles, vegetables and meat. I really liked the brisket and rare beef. Excellent value too.

The service was okay, a bit inconsistent and sometimes difficult to get staff attention, as they never seem to have enough service staff. The viet ice coffee was very very strong, and for some reason was served half full in a Tuatara beer glass? I hear the mango mocktail was good also. The popcorn chicken was alright, a bit dry however crispy and sauce was good.

I love their table sauce range, 3 types of spicy sauces! Chilli oil, Chin-Su and sriracha. All really good and unique. Great for changing up the profile of a bowl of regular pho.

Overall, I highly recommend Pho Viet Street Food for their authentic food and service.

Repeat customer to try taste all the dishes! I love all their sour cocktails (haven’t been game enough to try the Pho one yet though)

One of my favourite dishes in the world is banh xeo and this version by Pho Viet DID NOT disappoint! I got a deliciously crispy crepe with a scattered mix of pork/prawn cooked into the batter, served with a side of mixed salads, daikon/carrot pickles and dipped into a light but flavourful nuoc cham sauce, it was all scrumptious Along with this feast for my belly, I also had a delicously refreshing salty lemon soda to chase it all down – so full and happy!!! Attentive and helpful always, our food and drinks came out ridiculously fast – Alex and the whole Pho Viet team are

I first visited this heart warming spot a year ago to celebrate my little brother’s bday. Since then every mention of Vietnamese food has had me thinking about the exquisite crispy pork summer rolls, the most delectable Watermelon long island cocktail and the Pho – the Pho actually deserves its own 5 star review to be truthful, its succulent, amazingly flavorful, and its amazing flavour profile makes it feel like its good for your soul.

When my brother offered to fly me down again this year for his birthday, one thing was on my mind PhoViet.

And it was truly worth the wait.

Walking in you often get greeted by Alex, the owner who makes you feel so welcomed and like your part of the family there. Remembers the orders of his regulars, and ensures you are always well fed.

Alex greeted us and remembered me even after a year and ensured myself and my little brother had an amazing time eating truly fantastic food and enjoying amazing drinks.

Big thank you to Alex and his team.

I will be thinking about those summer rolls and those Watermelon long islands until I managed to get back to wellington to visit again.

I have been to Pho Viet a couple times now and each time is always a delight.
The food is delicious, I’ve tried a bunch and each item has been amazing. Really quick to come out too even when with a slightly larger group.
The service from all the staff is fantastic but the welcome from Alex is the best, you feel straight away like you’re at home being welcomed in as an old friend.

Will be back again for more soon I’m sure.

I specifically dined here because of their coeliac gluten free options, and my nephew was delighted with the choices. Pho was full of meat and the pancake was also delicious. Staff were super friendly!

Amazing place, the staff were very friendly and the food was delicious. I went back twice during my visit, the tofu pho had the best pho broth I’ve ever had and the prawn and chive dumplings were so fresh. Also had a great egg coffee, would definitely recommend!

The food tasted bad. I ordered the grilled turmeric fish with vermicelli noodles and it was really disappointing. The fish didn’t taste fresh, felt like it had been kept in the fridge for several days. The flavour balance was off, just salty and spicy with no depth. Overall, it was much worse than other Vietnamese restaurants in the area.
