Tried out Pho Vatsana in Wasilla and was pleasantly surprised! The food was solid—my oxtail pho had great flavor, and my son really enjoyed his chicken fried rice. The place was clean, and the service was good. Prices are a little higher than some of the Anchorage pho spots, but it’s worth it for the convenience of having a tasty Vietnamese option close to home.

My wife ordered the vegetable spring rolls and they didn’t taste as she was expecting so i ended up eating them (win for me). It was wife and middle son’s first time at a Vietnamese restaurant. They’re a bit picky and still adjusting to new flavors, but they both ended up liking the rice (even if they thought it had too many onions—I happily added those to my pho ).

Overall, it’s a great spot to grab some comfort food. I’m glad to have it nearby and will definitely be back when I’m craving pho again.

We came feeling famish after a long glacier hike and had pho here. They broke every single pho rules resulting in anything but pho. We ordered fried banana ice cream, which was brought out while we were still having our dinner. The sauces and condiments looked old , and the color had changed. How did they get 4.6 stars?

Really yummy food, very quick, and friendly staff. We are Thai food lovers and are pretty picky about the places we go to. We had green curry, red curry, and egg rolls. The curries were both delicious and the egg rolls were perfect crunchy bites of heaven. Didn’t get photos, we chowed down way too fast.

Price a bit high but they truly care about your food and the quality and quantity of the food makes a difference. Ordered the fried Yung duck, will come again as duck is hard to find on the menu.

Notable mention has AK delivery app poster out front if you want delivery.

Rediscovered this place and am very happy to! Used to go here with my family years ago, but I don’t frequent it as often because the location is a little out of my way compared to previous living locations. The other reason why I think I hadn’t tried it in a while is because on their menu, it doesn’t openly say that tofu is an option for curry, it just says choose chicken, pork, beef, or shrimp. But tofu is an option on another menu item so I asked and they were happy to replace it on their Mama’s Chicken Curry that I ordered. In the past when I had looked up menus I thought they didn’t have tofu as an option so then decided to go somewhere else, but they definitely do have it so anyone that doesn’t eat meat or prefers tofu don’t skip on this place! They can replace tofu for other dishes as well.

We got spring rolls for an appetizer and their spring rolls are some of the better in the valley I think. Their presentation is really nice and the sauce is very good, more on the vinegary tangy side which I prefer over a peanut-y sauce. They also include 8 spring rolls instead of 6 which is nice. They are a little thinner but sometimes that’s nice because they’re easier to eat.

I ordered the Mama’s Chicken Curry and replaced chicken with tofu. The flavor of the curry was really good. Rivals my other favorite thai curry in the valley (Pho Lucky). I really need to try their red and green varieties. Plenty of veggies and a big portion enough for 2 meals.

My husband got their pad thai and thai tea and really enjoyed it.

Their service is really good here too, they are very friendly and prompt. Also they are open on Sunday! I always find myself craving thai food on Sundays but most of the places in the valley aren’t open. Highly recommend!

First time coming here and i absolutely loved it!! I got the Pho Thai and the broth was so flavorful, my boyfriend ordered the “Two golden girls” and that was amazing too. Really big portions and affordable prices. The owner was really friendly and fun to talk to 🙂 definitely recommend this place but DO NOT TAKE THE SPICE LEVELS LIGHTLY. We ordered a level 3/5 and honestly I don’t even want to think about what a 5 would be..
