I picked up around 1pm today & my meats were frozen. This is actually the very first time I have experienced my beef coming home still frozen. Really disappointing because it does seem like a family-owned shop with a mother & son working together. Maybe they are still in the middle of renovating because the place looks a bit run down. Soup lacked the “beef” flavor & seems like they use the pho powder you find at the grocery stores. Im sure many shops do that nowadays. & very little bean sprouts/mint leaves/thai basil were given.

Very basic dining experience at this family-owned restaurant. The pho soup was okay, but the noodles were a bit under cooked. The calamari was a miss, so don’t waste your money. Parking situation is very bad, as the small parking lot is shared with other local businesses, so you will have to find street parking and walk a bit. Located on a busy street in an industrial area, so be careful exiting the parking lot.

We really like this restaurant. We ordered combo pad Thai and beef pho and an appetizer calamari. You can tell all ingredients are fresh and really good flavor. I mean you can ask too much especially every dish is like 13$. Super worth it! Highly recommend! Tho the location is right by the highway. I’d say you won’t regret it!

Really good! Had a spring roll $2 each! House soup #4 $7.50 and a Diet Coke $1.25! Good prices. Don’t let the exterior turn you off. Food is super great. Mom and pop ran so they are doing it all. Can get busy during lunch but I found a seat pretty easily.

Had a wonderful Pho experience at this kind mom and shop restaurant. Would love to come back with more friends to support. Thank you to the kind cashier who was also my server and apparently chef also.

Curry soup and spring rolls were great. The location is definitely an “acquired taste” – parking is challenging and the interior is a bit rough, but I suppose that lets them focus on the broth.

I was in the neighborhood and wanted to eat Vietnamese Food. So I checked out Pho Van. The restaurant’s food was pretty good. I ordered the pork and egg rice plate. The lady was very kind and courteous.

Since today was Chinese Lunar New Year Lunar, when I gave her a tip, she gave me a Red envelope with a $2 bill inside . Wow! so thoughtful and kind.

A solid lunch place located in a unique spot. Parking seems limited and the food is just about average. I haven’t tried their pho so don’t want to crush them with this review. The food I tried which was their bo luc lac (steak cubes) over rice was just alright. And their other pork dish was a bit overcooked. Their egg rolls were pretty good and this seems to be a pretty fairly priced place for lunch with local companies close by so there’s prob a regular customer flow. I’m guessing their pho is the way to go but I found their rice dishes just okay. A lot of tables but pretty tightly packed in so people will bump into each other. I hope to see if their is good next time.

UPDATE AT BOTTOM

First time coming here I found this restaurant just driving around and it opened at 9:00 a.m. it was very dead inside but it was 9:00 in the morning I ordered the pho with a rare steak and a glass of water about $14.25 they usually have small medium or large bowls but here they only have medium size on the tables were extremely sticky not sure how often they clean and there is a weird musty smell not like bad food like a sweaty person and there was ants crawling all over my table not excessively but enough to wonder if it’s clean there you can see into the kitchen it’s not hidden it’s just a little cluttered and they have the back door open that’s probably where the insects are coming it didn’t bother me that much because I was extremely hungry and I really want to try their soup the first thing I do when I try pho it’s taste the broth without adding anything in the broth was spot on so much flavor I loved it plus they make everything to order so it was piping hot they have the plate of the wax beans Thai Basil and jalapenos usually comes with limes but here they had lemons I would have preferred limes but it’s okay and some of the wax beans were old had black on the side other than that it was really good food definitely recommend checking it out it was an old lady as cashier and old man in the back I’m assuming there married both very friendly.. parking was horrible there’s only three or four spots the rest is reserved for other companies and on the street there is absolutely nothing kind of hard to find right off the freeway before the Thomas exit but definitely recommend checking this place out ,

thanks for taking the time to read my short review

!!update!! I go all the time now to get the soup it is always amazing and she remembers what I ordered I love that feels like home , I tried there chow fun wow it was so flavorful and tasty , there pork and shrimp spring rolls are so damn good, peanut sauce is , there crispy egg pork rolls are amazing so much flavor. Absolutely love this place definitely worth the time to stop in. best time to go is 9:00 a.m. to 11:00am the food is amazing and it’s not busy like when you come at 1:00 or 3:00 pm. I live in Menlo Park and the drive is way worth it.

Thanks for taking the time to read my updated review

Extremely rich broth (roasted duck pho). One thigh, but more than sufficient for a $13.75 meal! Noodles are Al dente, but supposed to be cooked a little in hot broth. Low key, no frills establishment- felt like a step back in time in the best way possible. 10/10 experience, value and food! Hope to go back
