Terrible Customer Service . Firstly I’m a local. I go to school A SINGLE block away. I’m a college student so my income is already pretty shallow but I thought since my client tipped me $10 I could scrounge up some coin change for the remainder of what I needed for my meal. Mind you I just went there the day prior and ate on my lunch break (No tip because I felt like they could’ve had better customer service, like didn’t even get me water till I had to ask.) Come a new day, I appreciated the convenient pricing, and walking distance from my school. I wanted to dine in again and the MAIN MALE CASHIER tells me “If you want to dine in you have to tip”. Excuse me? Now firstly, Never in my life do I have a problem giving tips. But being asked for one is just plain rude. In such shock I asked the man “is it a requirement to tip?” He says, “Yes, if you want to dine in”. NOW, I’m a pregnant women so you can already understand my energy at this point was a bit frustrated because i understand this is not okay. I’ve worked in customer service, AND I’ve also been a server in MANY restaurants. Maybe if there was even a HINT of customers service like a greeting when I walked in, a water given without asking, and at the BARE MINIMUM A SMILE when they HAD to bring the food out. I would’ve definitely felt more inclined to actually go in my bank account and tip.
Better said, They are lacking PLENTY of traffic at their restaurant located right on south Tacoma way (there should be plenty of traffic, Howly bagel is right across the street with lines outside the door going DOWN THE BLOCK) and they’re desperate for money for their lease due to their poor customer service.

Dishes from previous customers were everywhere despite the place being completely empty and the owner sitting not doing anything. Dirty fish tank. No light in the mens room. Worst of all, my wife is pretty sure the meat in her mongolian beef was rancid and she has been sick all night, and so has our friend who took some bites. For $16 I expect my fried rice to be piled high, but the serving size was tiny. Doesn’t matter though, I couldn’t finish anything we were served.

I always get large combo, spring rolls and fried rolls… Always delicious and fresh. The place is always clean, the health department also agrees. Both owners are very sweet!

I’ve been to many pho restaurants and this place is worst. Fair price should be $5 for sure

I don’t even want to give one star but have to for ability to review . I have never in my life been treated with such blatant disrespect from a restaurant owner/operator. The food is highly overpriced . The portions are small and it even says on menu that you are not allowed to share or split orders – which my bf and I usually like to split a large order of pho due to the fact we are on a budget . But we decided to splurge and stay there bc we were hungry .. what a bad decision that was . Not only was my can ok coke 2.25 . I had to pay for tea and I had to pay extra for an extra cup for my bf !! When my egg roll came I broke it in half and took a big bite to realize and find out it was burnt on the inside and Stunk like burnt egg roll . It was dried up to hell .. I got up ( which was for about the third time mind you bc he apparently wasn’t going to table to table for orders you had to go up to the cashier and or he was ignoring us not sure .. that’s the least of it . The main issue I had this evening is the fact that when I asked if he could please remake my egg roll or take it off the bill he told me absolutely not , everyone like them you just weird . I said , so .. you won’t remake one for me nor take it off my bill ? And he said yes and began to yell at me about how I was complaining for no reason , and that it was not his problem , told me to go sit back down !
I went back to the table absolutely speechless . The egg roll was 2.15 off the menu. He would have made more money had he just remade it for me bc I would of generously tipped him for doing that for me instead we left him absolutely no tip . I do not suggest this restaurant- unless you want to be verbally accosted, overpay, and eat burnt food .
OH and I received three pieces of raw meat in my pho that I did not order .
That’s the pic down below along with my “delicious” egg roll !

It’s a cute little spot with tasty food. It has an old Tacoma charm which makes the place feel very nostalgic. The spring rolls were tasty and the price is very reasonably.

My favorite pho of all time! I’ve had pho all over New York City and Tacoma and this one is the best. The food is always fresh and consistent, and the service is friendly and quick. I come here at least once a week and am never disappointed. You get an enormous bowl of pho for $6-$10. None of the food contains MSG so I always feel energized and healed after eating here. Many other pho places give me a stomach ache but that has never happened here. 10/10 wonderful and delicious.

The food was great. I had the veggie pho with veggie spring rolls. My wife had the classic pho. Food was great. The prices were decent, too However, they could use a decor update. The deer head seems out of place.

Terrible restaurant. The owner (I believe), chef, waiter, and cashier are all the same person, which makes the service extremely slow. Whenever I ask him questions about the dishes, he gets very angry and says, “YOU SHOULD ORDER WHAT YOU KNOW.” He forces you to tip the highest amount, or else he’ll kick you out of the restaurant. I’ve been here twice, and there’s never anyone else in the restaurant. I have no idea where he gets the confidence to treat customers like this in such a bleak market.

Hey, hey, foodie friends. We are visiting Tacoma for a friend’s wedding. We decided to stop at this little place to have a small bite to eat. Right at the get-go, the person behind the counter was not very welcoming. We had to ask where to sit. The service was more a fast food restaurant than a place to be sitting and enjoying your meal. The gentleman was not very pleasant, we only order a couple of appetizers and were told that we could not eat here and that we would have to take them to go, even though there was no one else in the restaurant. So this Pho V & V is getting only one (1) start for customer service.
