Reviews
Parking was complicated there are not a lot of spaces since they share it with other restaurants too.
Inside, the place felt off it’s hard to pin down exactly, but it wasn’t very organized, and it came across as chaotic rather than bustling in a good way. The vibe wasn’t the relaxed, casual spot I was expecting; it felt more stressed and unwelcoming.
The older man who works the front counter is consistently rude, impatient, and needlessly abrasive. No greeting. No basic courtesy. Just curt responses, visible annoyance, and an attitude that makes it clear he does not want customers there. It’s uncomfortable enough that first-timers notice it immediately.
Before anyone jumps to excuses: this isn’t cultural, it isn’t a language barrier, and it isn’t a “bad day.” I’ve been coming here long enough to know better. This is the default behavior. And judging by the sheer number of reviews describing the same exact person and the same exact conduct, I’m far from alone.
What’s baffling is that management has clearly known about this for a while and has done nothing. When the same employee is repeatedly mentioned by strangers who don’t know each other, that’s not a misunderstanding—that’s a liability standing at your front door.
The food is irrelevant if the experience makes people feel unwelcome or disrespected. There are too many Vietnamese restaurants nearby that manage to serve good food and treat customers like adults.
I won’t be returning, and I actively steer people away from this location now. If this business fails, it won’t be because of competition—it will be because one employee was allowed to chase customers off for far too long.
I have also found hair in my food and I didn’t even get an apology. And it was too long to belong to any of the people working at the time.
The older man at the front counter is openly hostile, dismissive, and seems personally offended that customers exist at all. Every visit feels like an inconvenience to him. Eye-rolling, snapping, barking responses, and a tone that makes you feel stupid for ordering food you’re paying for. (If he responds at all) It’s not an “off day.” It’s a pattern.
(told me the wrong total and then aggressively slammed my money on the counter and pushed it back at me. He said $30.32 but it was $32.30 He’s genuinely lucky My husband wasn’t with me.)
I live extremely close to this location and still drive all the way to 43rd Ave & Northern instead—because shockingly, I prefer to be treated like a human being. That should tell you everything.
What finally sealed it was reading the other reviews. I thought maybe I was being overly sensitive. I wasn’t. Dozens of people are describing the exact same man and the exact same behavior. Same attitude. Same hostility. Same front counter. That’s not coincidence—that’s a problem the owners are choosing to ignore.
Food doesn’t matter when the front of the house makes you feel unwelcome, rushed, or disrespected. Atmosphere matters. Basic decency matters. And one person with unchecked power at the door can absolutely poison an entire business.
This restaurant will continue to bleed customers as long as this man is the first point of contact. I will never return, and I genuinely hope management reads these reviews and understands: this is not a food issue—it’s a people issue.
There are plenty of Vietnamese restaurants in the valley that serve great food without treating customers like garbage. Go to one of those.
However, the owner’s poor behavior never seems to disappoint. The most recent time going here I pulled a hair out of my spring roll and after telling the owner he just went like “sorry” and then started laughing. He tossed it in the trash and did not offer any sorts of compensation. This is also just one of the many terrible experiences I’ve had with the owner.
The food was nasty there was a hair in my pho and everything tasted old this place does not know how to handle a restraunt.
