When we entered this place was almost empty. Should have known. Only ordered 5 items but was charged for 6 items.
Eggrolls contained corn kernels which was different. The servers sleeve touched the top of our rice. My partner preferred not to say anything to him so we didn’t. We ended up scraping off the top and tossing it aside. The chicken in the pho tasted a bit raw almost as if the chicken was blanched instead of cooked. The noodles were definitely “day old” because it was hard and chewy. Our water glasses had things (debris) floating inside so we ordered soda instead. We do not recommend this place.

My wife wanted Thai food. Since the place mentions Thai and Vietnamese food on the sign, I figured it would work. That was not the case. Unfortunately the service was not the best, the place was chilly inside and the food, as others mentioned in their reviews was not very good. This goes for the Thai food at least. Maybe the Pho is very good, but it definitely dis not meet our expectations for a 4.1 rated restaurant.

I got the Pad Keep Mao with tofu and vegetables. The portions are ginormous. The noodles themselves felt as though they had been cooked hours ago as they felt hard and too chewy. The carrots didn’t taste or look fresh. The vegetarian pho was bland, lacking any flavor.

The pho is authentic and flavorful, a little bit more meat would be nice. The papaya salad was soggy, no crunch to it, perhaps too thinly shredded and the flavor isn’t like the Thai style I’m used to. I can only comment on the dishes I ordered. My friends said their food was good. Overall, surprisingly, a great find in a small town while passing through.

If you’re craving Pho this is the place to come in Humboldt County. Note that even the “small “bowl option is a hearty size, enough for one normally hungry person.

The menu includes a lineup of typical choices, including a vegan option. Straightforward ingredients and accompanying sauces for a DIY broth flavor.

Additional Asian menu options are available, drink selections minimal.

Service is generally quick, and plenty of booth spaces in a relatively large dining area.

One word of caution to women, though — there is no working lock on at least one of the women’s bathroom stall doors (!!) . Bring a chopstick (no I’m not kidding) to thread through the otherwise empty latch strike plate.

Things were great all and all, and they work hard to keep their customers happy. I really hope the family friend I brought who is visiting Humboldt, genuinely enjoyed her food over being agreeable. Honestly, it doesn’t matter because we were there to spend time together and for the experience and we had a terrific time indeed. Her pho was fitting for the cold & rainy day. My tofu Pad Kee Mao was very modest, not in spices, but everything else aside from noodles. I dressed it up with some condiments that came with the pho before taking photos. If it weren’t for the level 10 Spice level it would have been a very child-friendly dish. The staff are always fantastic.

Tbh this place use to be my favorite but the last few time I’ve gone in the Quality of the food has gone down and I don’t know what’s going on. I used to get the lemonade with club soda because it would come with fresh lime juice and that was so good and now it seems like they’re using powdered to lemonade mix which is gross. And everything just seems less flavorful than it used to. I don’t know what happened, but within the last year, this restaurant has gone downhill. Hopefully they can turn things around

Wonderful atmosphere, warm and inviting locale and staff. Food came out nice and quickly, presentation looking delightful and tasting even better. They had utensils on the side of the table neatly sorted and all ready to go, too, so no fussing was required to get them.
The smoothies are a delight as well. Partner and I left with stuffed tummies and an all-around satisfying experience. Would highly recommend

We are passing by and stop at this city for a night. We went to the farmers market, but couldn’t find any food from the food stands that look good. We went to this Pho place. Our server was new there. However, our orders were taken by the owner or manager, the guy who was in charge there. He messed up our order and when the food came, we told the server that the order was wrong. He went back and tried to correct them, but his boss yelling at him. We felt bad for the new guy, so we decided to just not bother to have them correct the order. He did bring extra tendon to compensate the mistakes. Both of our dishes were just the Pho noodles. They taste alright; not the best given we have lots of experience eating Pho. This would be on my NOT revisit list.

I recently ate here after a year and I tried the lemongrass chicken plate. To be honest, the broth wasn’t as good as I had expected. It tasted like instant noodles broth, so processed. The chicken looked old and dry. It wasn’t the best dish I had. What I really liked was the grilled prawns.
Service was good and although it was packed, I got my order fast.
