I’ve been coming here for 15+ years and it has been consistently good, so I figured a review is well overdue! This is the BEST pho in Edmonton hands down. It meets the trifecta of perfect pho: the broth is the clear and flavourful, the noodles have a great bite and don’t get soggy quickly, and the meat is tender. They also don’t skimp on the bean sprouts. They ONLY serve pho so you know it’s good!!! Keep in mind they’re cash/etransfer only (another point of legitimacy).
It’s a family recipe that I have grown up with since I was a child. Absolute god-tier pho for a great price
Picture taken after we already dug in cause the camera does NOT eat first at this place

Best pho in the city & I’ve tried most. Had #6 (steak & flank). The meat was tender and juicy, the broth was my favorite part! Very rich and silky. I also love that they add a lot of cilantro, onion and green onion, most places don’t add enough!

I kid you not possibly the best pho in the worId. I can’t find anything that comes even close to how good the make it at Tau Bay, I have tried. If you like heat ask for the in house chili oil it is second to none. The owners and staff there are lovely people, and will make you feel welcomed as soon as you walk through the door. Seriously, do yourself a favor and become a regular there. It’s a step in becoming the best version of yourself.
Bonus: the Vietnamese coffee here is stellar

This is the Pho place you should not miss. We frequent Pho restaurants wherever we go. This is definitely one worthy visit. Located near the Edmonton Chinatown area. Like a family run restaurant with quality Pho, the broth is hot (temperature) and tasty. Good quality beef and assorted stuffs. Basil, bean sprouts and lime are fresh. Do order (request) some of their hot chilli oil. It is super tasty and not too spicy. Just a nicely done chilli oil. Must try too.
Really enjoyed their Pho here
Highly recommended! Must try around here.

Food was amazing, drinks was amazing. Atmosphere was awesome. I never try something this good for a long time, especially that fresh orange juice and Vietnamese coffee.
20 mins wait for the coffee to drip, but when you eating the phone while you wait, you won’t notice it at all

Tau Bay serves only Pho, they don’t even offer spring rolls as a side. Their menu is focused on producing quality Pho and that’s it and that’s exactly what they do. I first went here 10 years ago? with some friends of mine and I’ve been back every now and then to enjoy their Pho. On my last trip I tried their Lemon Coke, which is basically a can of coke served with a glass that has ice and lemon juice? in it. Just add the coke yourself and its pretty tasty. I will say their Pho is delicious however the last time I was there the amount of meat I got was not much. I do wish they offered Vietnamese spring rolls, they are super delicious. Also they didn’t have any chili oil for free (Think I had to pay extra for it???), that and the low amount of meat stopped it from being 5 stars.

Tau Bay is a one of a kind place where they specialize in soups and they are phenomenal. I’ve had plenty of really good pho around Edmonton but Tau Bay is on another level that nobody else can compare to. I’ve been a long time customer since they used to be on 107ave and 113st and their pho hits just right every single time since I’ve first discovered them. If there’s a list of must try places in western Canada, Tau Bay better be on it.
I’m not sure how to describe how delicious their pho is. I find each bowl to be perfectly balanced with meat, noodles and their umami rich broth. You are free to add hoisin, bean sprouts, hot sauce and a squeeze of lime if that’s your preference but I like to enjoy it as is with one thai chili for a bit of heat. The broth alone is heavenly. Please note that it’s soup only with beverages and some desserts. They take only cash or email transfers.
