Pho Tai is one of our favorite pho places in Texas. We love coming to visit when we are in Galveston. Don’t judge the book by the cover definitely applies here. The outside is rough but the restaurant is super clean and despite other reviews we have never experience a sewer smell. The pho is so delicious, the broth is my favorite. We love pho and have it often and never have been disappointed here. The spring rolls are always fresh. Service is good for a Pho restaurant.

Stopped by to get their Vietnamese coffee to go, paid $11 with tip for two just to receive half empty cups.

A family run place a little away from the touristy parts of Galveston that serves excellent pho.

The house pho was very good. Fresh, piping hot, with good portions of all kinds of meat, in just the right kind of broth. Call it comfort food, or just plain filling, it ticks all the right boxes. We also ordered a plate of fried rice, which too was good, though not exceptional.

Service was fast and friendly in a South East Asian kind of way, which is to say don’t expect much of a conversion, but you will get what you need with minimum fuss.

Prices are reasonable. The location is a bit of the grittier side of town, so the place closes at 8 pm with last order at 7.30pm. The inside is clean and bright.

I avoided this place for years because of the exterior of the building. My loss…
Absolutely the BEST egg rolls I’ve found in a 50 square mile radius! Fresh, crispy and amazing! Not stale or greasy etc. Good fried rice and pho selections. Very friendly staff. I do wish they would wipe down their little condiment holders on the table. They’re filthy.

Our favorite thing to get here is the Grilled Marinated Salmon (Cơm Cá Salmon Nướng). There a lot of other great options to choose from too.

Stopped by this place while visiting a friend in Galveston. Great little hole in the wall place that serves very tasty Beef Pho noodles.
The broth is very savory and clean, when I say clean meaning No MSG, as I am sensitive to it. I will be returning again to try some of their other dishes.

Delicious food, clean, friendly – The Pho was outstanding!!! Had the Eggrolls and Spring Rolls very fresh and satisfying! Will be back “Pho” sho!!!! Don’t judge a book by its cover on the building. Best mom & pop place I’ve been to!

Nice spot for pho and other Vietnamese favorites. The pho broth is not overly salted like some, and generous amounts of vermicelli noodles and vegetable garnishes were provided. Husbamd had the combination fried rice and enjoyed it. Their coffee looked great but I’d already had my allotment of caffeine for the day so I reluctantly resisted the temptation to order it. Will definitely eat here again, “pho” sure!

Excellent pho and Bahn Mi. First time customer and I was a bit hesitant because the exterior looks a bit rough, but inside is fine. My Pho Tai had a decent amount of meat that was very lean and tender. I always get it raw on the side because I like to see it before it gets cooked in the broth. The Bahn Mi pork sandwich was tasty with the roll being especially fresh. The egg rolls were piping hot and flaky and the shrimp spring rolls were excellent as well. Another good indicator of place is the peanut sauce and theirs doesn’t disappoint. It was the right consistency and flavor.

Overall, it’s the best pho in Galveston IMHO. I have eaten at many pho places and they’re not all created equal. This is even better than most places in Houston including out in Bellaire/Chinatown area. Highly recommended!!!
