If you’re super hungry and you just want a huge portion of noodles and meat then this is the place. If you’re looking for a top quality bowl of pho with top-tier broth and quality of cuts of meat then this place is not it. As long as you adjust your expectations then you won’t be disappointed.
Since I don’t live around here nor will I go out of my way to eat here, I can only give this place 3 stars because the quality of the food is just average. The broth is on the weaker side and the beef quality is thick and chewy. However the portion size is overly generous.
First, the service was disappointing. Our server seemed impatient and dismissive — she nodded at our requests but didn’t follow through. For example, the bean sprouts we specifically asked to have boiled were brought out raw.
Second, the pho quality has declined noticeably. Instead of the balanced portions we were used to, the bowl had only a couple of lean beef slices and an overwhelming amount of fat pieces, which made it extremely unpleasant to eat. This is a big change from the portions we used to enjoy here, and I hope the restaurant can look into their ingredients and preparation quality. No one likes heart attacks:)
Lastly, the restroom situation needs urgent attention. The urine odor was very very very strong, and if you’re seated nearby, it makes it very difficult to enjoy your meal.
We really used to like this place, but I hope management can address these issues so that regulars like us can feel good about returning. For now we won’t be coming back.
This is a fairly large restaurant with lots of seating. The servers here were pretty friendly especially when my mother-in-law spoke Vietnamese to them.
My family ordered the following items (in order of pics):
– Deep Fried Chicken Wings: pretty good but not as good as Phnom Penh.
– Rare Steak & Brisket Beef Pho: soup was sweet and good portions of noodles.
– Banh Da Cua (Special Crab Noodle Soup): was pretty delicious with its shrimpness flavour.
– Bun Bo Hue (Spicy Beef Noodle Soup): has pork knuckles which was pretty interesting and my wife loves collagen.
Overall the food was delicious and will be coming back in the future.
I used to come here often for their Bún Bò Huế, but this visit was beyond disappointing. I WILL NOT be coming back and definitely WOULD NOT recommend this place to anyone.
The broth had a strange soapy taste, and to make it worse, I even found a worm in it! It makes me question whether they even wash their vegetables properly.
When I politely brought it up to the waitress, she was saying things in Vietnamese wondering why I did not tell her the request while she was mopping the floor, she called me names in Vietnamese (assuming I wouldn’t understand) and her coworker came out to our table, looking at the worm in my bowl “I don’t know, what do you want me to do ?” which was both rude and unprofessional.
The food quality, hygiene, and service were all terrible. For your own health and safety, I’d strongly recommend AVOIDING this place. Visit at your own risk.
Food: 5/5 – can’t go wrong with any noodle or pho dish. We had the small seafood pho and large beef balls pho. Even with the large and small sizes, we had leftovers to go.
Atmosphere: 3/5 the place can accommodate small to large groups. It’s a clean and comfortable place.
Service: 4/5 – server was friendly. We arrived at 10 pm and we were reminded that 11 pm was closing time. It didn’t take long for our food to arrive.
Recommend and would go back!
I had the chicken and rice with spring rolls dish and it was delicious. The meat was very tender and perfectly cooked. I also had the beef brisket pho and the broth had a super appetizing flavor. The Missus had the seafood egg noodle pho and a banh mi chicken sandwich. She enjoyed both but would try a different noodle on the next visit. We liked the fish sauce coming in a bottle dispenser to prevent waste by consuming only what you need.
The service was very fast and the server came by to check if all was good. The prices are slightly higher than other Vietnamese restaurants along the Kingsway strip but the portions are also a degree larger.
Definitely would recommend a visit.
UPDATED:
The Missus and I revisited Pho Super Bowl and had the Beef Brisket Pho, Chicken Pho and a Lemongrass Chicken Banh Mi. All were delicious and service was great. There is a current 10% discount on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Still recommend.
Came here to try again after the hype.
The satay soup was still just as good except I noticed a decrease in amount of toppings. It used to have 2 soup bones but is down to 1 and the amount of raw beef slices were less too.
We also tried their new special crab noodle banh cahn cua but it was not very flavorful.

I was here twice during their grand opening 20% off everything.
Their large bowls of pho are huge! I got the satay twice and both times there were generous amounts of raw beef slices. Only 3 half beef balls but had 2 soup bones. The noodles were hit or miss. The first time they were overcooked and the second time it was just right. The satay soup was not bad. Not very peanutty but very creamy.
My husband got the chicken and spring roll vermicelli bowl twice. Quite pricy at $19 but also huge. Their nuoc mam isn’t very flavorful so we had to add copious amounts. I like that it comes with 2 spring rolls instead of 1 at other places so that makes it worth the price point.
Deep fried wonton was really good. Good ball of prawn inside.
There’s parking in the back but quite tight for the ones furthest away. Some parking in the front as well. Quite a big restaurant.
