The food we tried this time was delicious. I tried the curry chicken with rice. Chicken was soft, tender white meat and taro (i think) mixed in. Good combination and the curry is now my favorite with Bac Nams curry as a close second. Hint of spice (not sure what was used), sweet and mildly spicy. Two in our family got combination pho, they said it had good flavor and is there go-to for pho. Two others also tried the vermicelli with chicken and spring rolls. The chicken this time was also tender, soft and flavorful. I’m definitely going to order it next time.

The service was a little weird during our visit. The restaurant was quite slow, but it took a surprisingly long time for us to be serviced. Since it is a very small place, the activity in the kitchen is quite visible.
Regardless, the restaurant was clean and has enough space to comfortably seat about five families of four. The tables share the sauces, so we had to wait and ask for them when another table was finished.
My parents and other family members have visited this spot many times. This was my first visit, and I really enjoyed the lemongrass chicken plate. It had a great balance of garlic and lemongrass flavor, though it was a bit dry. The spring rolls appetizer was well-cooked and crispy. I definitely need to come back to try the other dishes as this is my parents go-to Vietnamese restaurant in Kaneohe.
Overall, it’s a solid place to grab a comforting bowl of pho or some Vietnamese favorites. One thing to note is that it may not be the best choice for families with little kids, as they don’t have high chairs or booster seats available. Otherwise, it’s a great dining experience and worth a visit.
