My go to for Vietnamese food is usually Bun bo Hue, but I wanted to try out Bo Kho, and its a harder item to find at alot of Vietnamese restaurants so I’m glad that Pho Star had it! Lets say it might be my new favorite! Also its absolutely delicious here! Great job Pho star! Pro tip, get it with the baguette over rhe noodles 😉

Found this place and decided Veitnamese was good for me for lunch.
I ordered a Viet style iced coffee and a pork bahn mi sandwich, no cilantro. The iced tea was refreshing! The sandwich was ! The pork was so delicious that I can still taste it! Bread was nice and crispy. The table hot sauce also packed a bunch of flavor! The special hot sauce the waitress brought out was a bit too spicy for me, but if you like super spicy, ask for it. They also has hoison sauce and Sriracha on the table.
Service was great. She came out promptly and the sandwich came out in about 5 minutes, super fresh. Some Uber eats guys came and went quickly. Very speedy service.
The place is pretty big and decorated in typical Vietnamese restaurant style. Pretty diverse clientele on the other tables.
I paid less than $9 so its a great deal for a sandwich of this quality! Highly recommend. Will go back for Pho eventually.

This is my now only go-to PHO in Vancouver, I have practically tried them all and this place makes the most flavorful and light broth with so much meats and things inside. Large bowls available. They sell other foods too besides pho soup and portions are generous! I am now a regular there. When I come in, they right away check with me on my regular order and get it started right away! Love love love this place! Please never close down ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I’ve tried pho from Portland to Seattle and Pho Star tops them all. What it lacks in ambiance it more than makes up for in delicious food. This isn’t a trendy new spot, a hopping bar for drinks, or anything bougie – this is about the FOOD. And they do it better than anyone else. Great pricing and quality/portions.

Stopped in today for dinner with a Friend. We had never been before: She ordered the shrimp summer rolls and pho and I order the beef wrapped in betel leaf plate and the crunchy noodles with beef and shrimp. Mine on a scale of 1 to 10 was a straight up 10. However, my friend thought she was ordering Korean short ribs and not ribs with pho, slight miss communication. The minute they figured it out they replaced her plate. To top it all off when we got in our car it needed a jump start. The owner gave us a jump start. The restaurant is clean the service was excellent and the owners are kind. I tipped what I had left in my purse. It turned out be fun evening. Ps. Portion sizes are large. The shrimp were deveined and clean.

Not our first trip, and for good reason. The food is excellent. On this trip, we had turmeric noodles and bun bo hue. The turmeric noodle dishes was cooked perfectly and they were more than generous with the chicken. The bun bo hue had a generous amount of beef and the spice level was just right. Salad rolls were wrapped tightly and tasted super good. Very fresh! The young man who served us was kind and made sure to ask about the quality of the food and if we needed anything else. Atmosphere is rather nice, as the high ceiling and decore really makes it feel warm and homey. Will continue to support this Vancouver gem.
Update: Feb 22nd, 2025. Wanted to mention upon this return, the great beef salad. We also had turmeric noodles and salad rolls. Just fabulous! Quality is exceptional. Always recommend dining in!

The banh mi was delish, the bread was perfectly crispy and the meat was hot and seasoned so well. Not too much mayo, and the pickled diakon and carrots were a great balance of sweet and vinegar
Roberts bun bo hue was to die for, the broth had a subtle warm spice, very approachable, the beef shank was tender, and the noodles were the perfect thickness and doneness very hearty soup that doesn’t sit heavy, perfect for an overcast day like today :3

Had some pretty good chicken pho. Fast service and delicious food. The atmosphere was just a bit lacking. No music or anything, which I think is just temporary since I saw speakers mounted on the walls.
