very impressed with the quality of pho here as a Vietnamese person. I ordered the brisket beef pho and it was ready in under 5 minutes. The broth was piping hot, the way I like it to ensure the food stays warm throughout eating. The noodles were soft and there was a good amount of beef. They also gave a generous size lemon wedge and just enough bean sprouts. This is good quality southern vietnamese style pho. I will go here again when I am away from Pho An in Bankstown

Great place if you want to be in and out. The soup could have been hotter in temperature. Felt like we had to scoff it down as it was getting cold quick. Flavour wasn’t bad! Will come back to try a few other items on the menu.

The staff are really nice, however, for the food I’ve had two very different experiences. The first time I dined in and what I had was very delicious but the second time I ordered takeaway and it wasn’t nearly as good. The chicken, the noodles and the soup all weren’t nice. I don’t know if it’s what I ordered or if it was just a one off but still they should all make their meals as good as possible. Overall, if you want to take a bit of a risk come here because it could be delicious or not.

Chicken rice is excellent, the best I ever had in Sydney.
The rice is a bit undercooked though.
I will come back to try other dishes.
Another plus, this is a HK restaurant. You can feel if with just looking at the menu.

I often order takeout from this restaurant because the food here is usually really good. Today I ordered again, but the result honestly made me consider giving up. I hadn’t eaten all day and was looking forward to enjoying something I like, so I called on the way and ordered a beef laksa and a Hainanese chicken rice. But the taste was so bad that I started doubting whether I had gone to the wrong place. I was really starving, so I forced myself to eat half, but it was way beyond what I could accept. I understand that prices are going up, and I get that food costs more now, but the quality shouldn’t be lost. Meals like this will only drive customers away.

Best pho on the North Shore. We visit regularly to order the mixed entree ($18.80 as at July 2024) and combination beef pho ($19.80). Service is very quick, the food is fresh, and the broth is a rich 10 hour broth.

Never order the stewed beef noodle as they serve you beef skins they call as muscle. No meet peoces. When I kindly asked for at least a few pieces of meet for my daughter, they refused so. The customer service is terrible though

One of the best pho places in Sydney. Very delicious pho. Pork chop tomato rice was the best I’ve had so far. HUGE portions, and everything was at a reasonable price.

I went to Pho Sam in Lane Cove today for lunch with my client. My client ordered for both of us, and I had the chicken laksa and tea.
Within minutes of finishing my meal, I started to feel stomach ache and discomfort. Since I was with my client, I tried to ignore it, but soon after I began feeling dizzy, disoriented, and lost control. Not long after, my body reacted by vomiting everything I had eaten there. Strangely enough, I started feeling better immediately after throwing up.
This was a very alarming experience and clearly points to severe food poisoning. Thankfully, my body rejected the food quickly, otherwise it could have been much worse.
For a restaurant, this is unacceptable — food safety and hygiene should be the top priority. It’s extremely disappointing and unsafe to serve food that makes customers this unwell.
