Jam seated us in a booth on the second floor and even provided water for our dogs, which we really appreciated. We ordered the Pho Gan Bo (Tendon Beef Pho), Thit Vien, and Tom Hap Bang Trang (Steamed Shrimp in Rice Paper).
Tom Hap Bang Trang – 4/5 ⭐️
I prefer this over the usual cold shrimp rolls because the sauce really adds depth and flavor to the dish. It was a bit tricky to eat since the rice paper is thin and drenched in sauce, but my husband and I still loved how well-balanced it was.
Thit Vien – 5/5 ⭐️
This was surprisingly good. The savory meat sits on a spoonful of spiced vinegar and is topped with just the right amount of cilantro—simple but very flavorful.
Pho Gan Bo – 5/5 ⭐️
I love how light their pho is. The tendon was excellent—no aftertaste or foul smell—and perfectly seasoned. You can easily personalize it with the side herbs and sauces they provide.
Definitely worth going back to again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Beef bahnmi was salty for me, overloaded with beef but missing flavors (ex. pickled veggies), ok as a sandwich but not as bahn mi. Would still want to try the noodles next time.
Place looks good for big groups/gatherings
Gets packed quickly, better to make reservations
Paul took our order and personally served our food, and he was very friendly, attentive, and accommodating throughout our visit. He made sure we were comfortable and well taken care of, which made the experience even more special.
Overall, excellent food and outstanding service. I highly recommend this place if you’re in Westgate and craving authentic Vietnamese cuisine!
Authentic, clean, generous servings. Delicious! Recommend: 10/10 Beef tendon pho, 10/10 buncha with fried meat springrolls, 10/10 lemongrass bbq, 10/10 lychee peach iced tea (the peach taste is at a minimum, so lychee lovers, this is for you!), 8/10 pork bbq with grilled prawn was quite dry, wish there was even a small bowl of clear soup that came with this. The pork was tough, too. 8/10 fresh springroll with prawn, big cuts, no mint inside, tough to chew because it’s big.
Beautiful vietnamese decors filled the place up. AC is set to winter mode, so choose your seats wisely.
Overall, everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. I’d definitely eat here again.
We ordered the basics this time though. The banh mi bread was crunchy on the outside, while remaining light. The pho we ordered was beef, but found the broth to be a bit too light on flavor. Personally, I think the pho hoa’s is better.
Serving sizes are generous, with each order practically good for 2 to 3 people. Which is good, because pricing is not on the affordable end.
Service is great, there’s a call button on our table, so that even tables on the 2nd floor get assisted when needed.
For a warmer ambiance, can change the lights to cool white instead of daylight.
